But I don’t think it’s unreasonable to assume that someone with a food addiction would need guidance with portion control and giving someone who is actively trying to lose weight an entire cake isn’t the most supportive thing in their weight loss and progress. It’s like handing someone who’s trying to quit smoking a pack of cigarettes. You can assume they would last them a couple of days or a week or however long you want. The young people don't realize that it's harder to lose weight once a person is older. Also, better for the young to lose weight now as an investment for their old age. Because aging is difficult enough what with losing friends and loved ones, having a harder time doing things and being closer to the end of life. Being old is a mental, emotional and physical challenge and many old people are sadly quite lonely.

Imagine doing this from US east coast to west. The UK is the size of Maine.

It’s interesting how when one of them falls from exhaustion, the others are so quick to judge and criticise, telling them they just need to toughen up etc. it’s like they start to project their own self hatred onto the one that’s fallen, not recognising it’s that same inner voice of judgment that has kept them stress eating for decades, unable to accept and love themselves. The ego is very interesting to observe.

Fasting and walking are the easiest ways to lose weight. I lost 26 lbs in 17 days fasting 3 days, steak refeed, fast 2 days, steak refeed, fast 3 days, etc., until you get to desired weight. Go walk around slowly when you’re fasting. I’d walk slowly for a couple of hours down by the river just enjoying nature, and I’d lose between 2 and 4 lbs per day. Drink salt and potassium chloride in your water if you get to feeling dizzy. Then keep fasting and walking.

The crazy thing is, Alice was probably one of the smallest of the group, but she complained *the* *most* out of everybody!!

What a wonderful wonderful idea!! I would LOVE to do something like this in a group!! Shoe companies should help sponsor.

Your heart is about as big as your own clenched fist. Imagine the strain on these peoples hearts, keeping bodies that size going. Heart attacks just waiting in the shadows................

I feel like they're already looking better at the end of the episode, their faces are less swollen and they seem healthier.

Hiking the Appalachian Trail (2000 miles) is a backpacking trail. There are towns about every week where you can resupply your food and get a good feed. The average weight loss is 50 pounds. At the end of the trek most look very very fit.

Poor wee soul three years isolated with her two children. It is 2021 and we are in the midst of a pandemic. I have been in isolation now for over 15 months. I was in isolation before the pandemic really struck as I required an organ transplant. So many will be shouting at the TV at how pathetic they are. I wonder if they are in more stoic now.

*Adhesive skin. That's where it's at!* Waterproof, cut to size, thicker than band-aids, comes in big squares. I won't do distance walking or new shoes without them. I get blisters just by thinking about them. Adhesive skin has changed my life. 🙃
