It has been a dream of mine for years to spend the night at the Ritz! I’ve watched just about every video on this wonderful hotel. I just couldn’t afford it new shoes,new dress,fix my front tooth etc but I still dream once in a while about the Ritz! 😂

Snobs. A few years ago my wife walked into the London Ritz to try another version of afternoon tea. She was well dress but in jeans. She was refused and only found out later it was likely because of her jeans. We were at another 5 star hotel nearby. She could have easily walked back to change. A simple explanation would have enough, instead no reason no apologies. Real class is different, it is quiet, understated, generous. Class does not need to prove itself….. the Ritz is for the ostentatious.

Nobody was looking down on your wife, but like any luxury restaurant or setting, they have a dress code. It's as much of a museum, as it is an experience you pay for, as a high class restaurant. People are paying for the experience and setting, not just throwing large amounts of money away to feel better than the populace. Probably many average citizens save up to have afternoon tea or a night there once or a few times in their lives.
