I definitely feel like that was the best earlier Pitch Meeting. The Chris part and the little end bit with the inconvenience just ranks it as absolutely hilarious! And the HT was good, not as laugh out loud funny, but I found myself agreeing with pretty much every point. I like WW, but I also like Cap 1, which was a similar period piece, and I like those. I also like Thor, lol, for the most part. I like the feel of those movies, and honestly they all do feel similar. So I understand why some people might not like any of them that much.

Sorry to necro your comment so badly but I just noticed real quick that all the movies you listed that you liked and had a similar feeling have something in common: they all have a strong leaning towards a love interest/romantic couple and it wasn't just lip service. So in essence those films all had heart, which I think gives them a huge chunk of charm in their favor. My personal observation though so take it with a grain of salt.

@@matthewcarroll2533 That is a really interesting observation that I hadn't made. Honestly, I dislike most love interest/romantic plotlines, especially those forced into action/adventure movies. I definitely preferred the friendship dynamic of Cap and Black Widow in Cap 2 over anything with Cap and Peggy. I will say that the romances in those, as you said, did have more heart. They didn't seem as shoehorned in, especially in comparison to some that didn't have nearly the chemistry. Or were just there in response to execs stereotyping and thinking women wouldn't see the movies without a romantic subplot (bs). Or were there to be like "no, these characters are definitely straight, see they kiss girls," that a lot of buddy movies throw in to not risk being seen as LGBT+ because everyone knows guys can't be close and love each other without being seen as gay (more bs). Anyway, yeah, that's an interesting perspective, considering my usual preference. I wonder if I would have liked them as much, or more even, if they hadn't had the romances. I would kneejerk say yes, but it might have affected the balance of the rest of the movie or made it more impersonal, so perhaps not. Interesting thought. Thanks!

I still don't understand if she is bullet proof or not. She always uses her armor to block bullets but in WW84 she is shown to get injured by a projectile to show that she lost some of her power due to the monkey paw. If she had to rely on her armor to protect her there is no way she could ever survive that no man's land scene. Even if she is super fast and able to evade incoming bullets there are going to be problems when she gets shot from behind where she can't see it or just by a machine gun. And what about shrapnel from explosions during WW1? It's a bit unclear.

The Wonder Woman soundtrack that got introduced to us first in BvS in this movie is awesome. I wished we heard it more than once in the new Justice League. It should be reserved for badass moments, of course, but the new soundtrack that followed her, like Ryan points out and mocks, really overstepped its welcome. The only part I thought it fitted well was when she went into the temple of the Amazons. Exploring and discovering ancient and ominous depictions of Darkseid. That’s where that soundtrack fits.

Honestly, so far Wonder Woman is pretty much the only DCEU Movie that i thought was good. It has a lot of issues but the character drives it and it's refreshing to have a movie with a female hero that isn't all about identity politics and woke-points. That and it doesn't suffer the one major problem i had with all DC movies so far: The over-the-top sequel baiting. DC really, really, really wants their Marvel Cinematic Universe, and they want it NOW. Where marvel gave each character a good first movie and that was it, and MAYBE did a tease for another movie in the post-credit scene but that was it, pretty much every DC Movie is 75% "look at what's coming in the net movies" and only 25% "this movie". They get so hung up over teasing their gigantic universe they want to establish that they forget that people came to watch a movie and not a feature-length trailer. And Wonder Woman was pretty much the first DC movie that didn't fall prey to that and was just a standalone movie. And to be honest, the other DC movies just were pretty bad so far, so "Fine" stands out above all the "God no".

One thing that disappointed me about the film is that Wonder Woman murders countless German soldiers without a second thought, and even watches as Steve uses a shotgun to murder a soldier who was restrained by her lariat (and reacts by jumping Steve's bone right afterward)--but she spares Dr Maru at the end...just because. All those random ass soldiers were just regular guys who were conscripted into military service, but Maru was happily designing deadly chemical weapons of her own volition and laughing it up with Ludendorff as he gassed people who were trying to *end* the war. Hell, she even gave the dude Super Soldier pills. Out of every single human enemy Diana encounters throughout the entire film, Maru is the most dangerous by *miles*. But eh, fuck it...just let her go because reasons.

That was fun! Thanks for the video! I liked the way they each approached the movie, and I especially liked the way that HT compared WW to the other DCU movies! The Superman-esque feel in the alley scene, comes from the fact that the scene was shot in homage to the Christopher Reeve superman where he catches a bullet from a mugger to save Lois Lane.... Of all the DCU movies so far, I think Man of Steel and WW are my top two, tied. I am not counting the Dark Night series, or other movies before the official "DCU" movies. Looking forward to watching Snyder-Cut next weekend and WW*$ at some point!

I still liked Thor more for it's genuine moments though. {"another!" still makes me lol} The warriors 3 had a good introduction... (shame what happened to their screen time in the following movies) And Thor had a better final boss fight. Lazer-face McGee was someone that seemed imposing, but then you're reminded that Thor's a _God_ (after all that time of him _not_ being one...) whereas in WW's final fight I was just cringing. cuz she's a demi-God _at best,_ (and for *no reason* ?) taking on an _actual_ God.... and the fucking God of War at that. Apparently Wonder Woman is godamn Kratos now. [yet she still gets *clapped* by Clark or any significant enough villain...] If I had to put it to numbers... 6.8 for WW, 7.5 for Thor. (8.8 for Cap; 10 for Original Avengers, 10 for the Snyder Cut{despite some clear flaws, u can tell there's a 10 in there if they actually cut it right...})

Have you seen the movie Disturbing Behavior (1998)? If not, it's one of my all time favorites. Bruce Campbell, James Marsden, Katie Holmes, William Sadler, Katharine Isobel (small role, few lines, but as beautiful as ever--you might know her from Ginger Snaps), Nick Stahl (this was before T3--I'm guessing he was NOT sober for this role because he's not the annoying twerp he'd later become.) I know it's a big ask, but if you think it might help, I'll watch the movie 5 or 6x and make a ton of notes on the stuff you can mock. It'd be like a collaboration. I've got a proliferate vocabulary, too, and we can utilize that. If you made one, remember: anytime someone would run a search for "pitch meeting" your video would pop up. Dude, you could amass such a following! I'd love to see it happen to you. (Then I could tell all my friends, "I helped that guy become an influencer!) .... (wait. Now that I think about it... my friends will probably despise me if you actually become famous on KZbin. ...Guess it'll be our secret.) But check the movie out. And listen to the music. The score is possibly the best thing about the movie. Hit me back, tell me to burn in hell, it's up to you.

14:13 yep that sums it up, the thing is except for aquaman there isn't a deceu movie that give me levels of enjoyment past thor (haven't seen the Snider cut nor ww8...4(?) Yet) to me Is like 1 aquaman 2 ww 3 justice league original (and I hate to give it 3rd place bc I consider this movie to be garbagio but at least I didn't find myself checking out or checking the clock to discover I was just 15 minutes in, wich is more than I can say for the movies below) 4 man of steel (boring, found myself rolling my eyes all the time) 5 bvs (more entertaining than mos but the characterization is horrible and there's a lot of dumb stuff) 6 suicide squad is probably the worst 7 bop no idea so I can't really place it anywhere, I watched it, but I couldn't remember the plot or my experience watching it even with a gun to my head

The HT was funnier. The PM made me think though. But really though... if she can take a headbutt from SUPERMAN does she even need the gauntlets and the shield? And where do the bullets go when they hit her gauntlets they should be ricocheting everywhere. Pardon my ranting. Also WW84 was...ok. the first one was better. WW in Zack Snyder's Justice League was better than both. She was moving like Faora. That's a fight I'd like to see.

Batman vs superman and man of steel were awful to me. I think the reason alot of people hold wonder woman so high, is because it was the first decent new dc movie to come out. Also 1984 was probably one of the worst comic book movies I've ever seen, definitely give me any of the first 3 thor movies over it.

I'm love Wonder Woman but the first movie was 'chef kiss' and I'm like Gal Gadot's take on the character because it's different from the comic books and look I'm heard the old news & stories from other people bout Gal when she first cast in Batman Vs Superman first because she too skinny, she can't act, her accent is heavy and why they can cast someone else playing her and I'm think to myself like "I'm found very funny now people were shamed on her because she this, she that her melons not big enough" plus y'all do realize that you have young girls & women wanna see this movie for women empowerment but still it's all under the bridge tho but overall I'm dont think her accent didn't bother me tho and Chris Pine was great as Steve Trevor tho and yeah even though I'm like WW84 for what it is but nothing compared to the no man land scene ,that scene was fantastic!!! 💫❤🦸‍♀️💥💥😌💙💛🧡 Plus you do have some good and decent films from DCEU like Shazam, Aquaman, Birds Of Prey and Joker (which is not a in DCEU cannon)

I...don't like the first WW movie, lol!! It's really boring and the villains are super campy and wacky. I prefer 1984 even with all of it's issues. Gal seems more comfortable and confident in the role and the music is much better to me.
