what i didn't like from this movie was that they used silver swan backstory, another wonder women villain, for cheetah's motivation in the moive. having Silver Swan can make sense in this situation as she looked up to Diana in the comics, and the motif of being an ugly duckling to becoming a beautiful swan, I just think they went with cheetah because she was more recognizable, which i don't blame them, but still don't steal another villain motivation especially since both are villains of the same superhero

Also (sorry, I’m commenting a lot. I have a lot of things on my mind), the ending of the movie implies that even the guy who wished for a coffee at the beginning had to renounce his wish. How... does that work? Does he throw it up? Does he change his past so as to not have received a coffee? What if he hadn’t thought that this single, ridiculously mondain wish was what he needed to renounce since, you know, it’s so mondain and forgettable? This movie doesn’t make any fucking sense! In which case he'll probably get shown the footage and see that random Woman who eyed him earlier. I mean it could trigger a psychotic episode or something, would you go crazy if you blacked out one afternoon and found out you're wanted in Egypt for terrorism as well as by the Government for stealing a dubious at best fighter plane, which nobody can find anymore because... theft's ok as well as the R word :/ Is this an Elseworld's Dark Wonder Woman movie? OK I haven’t seen wonder woman 84 yet but while watching the honest trailer I noticed a shot where Diana and Steve are walking through the air and space Museum in Washington DC. Now I was literally just at that same museum standing in the exact same spot where they are filming less than a week ago and I’m confused because it doesn’t look like the exhibits have changed at all for the movie; it’s all the exact same stuff that’s on display right now. I mean you actually see them in the shot walk right past the walk-through Skylab exhibit which i’m pretty sure would not have been on display yet in 1985! I’m gonna have to watch this movie now just for that scene because in the shot they showed all they needed to do is pan the camera to the right about four or 5 inches and you would see a full size replica of the Hubble telescope. And God I hope that made it into the background of this movie since the Hubble wasn’t launched until 1990. Oh god my only reason I wanna watch this movie now it’s just to tear the air and space Museum scene apart! (PS, and I know this doesn’t have anything to do with wonder woman 1984 but her first movie was a captain America rip off so in keeping with that “unintentional” association, why does the MCU have a captain America exhibit at the Smithsonian air and space Museum? Cap sure as hell never went to space in the 40s! It’s even weirder when you consider the fact that the American history Museum, which is where his exhibit SHOULD be since that’s where all the World War II stuff is, is literally right across the freaking street!!!!)

It's not possible for me to like the Wonder Woman or Superman characters. Having had access (due to a family friend) to many earlier comics when I was child something about those two was a complete turnoff. You'd think being a girl at the time Wonder Woman would be one of few that features a female would be likable. Instinct was spot on. Later after researching history, sociology, etc., I ran across William Moulton Martin and his "theories". They make my blood boil at the thought of them. He spawned her and many of the earlier tropes (her forever getting tied up) was from his personal "ideas". They downplay it now, but they've managed to add new egregious elements. Superman...that's other intent issue. For this movie, one of worse parts was using a man's body against his will. We can't use the word for it here, comments get taken down, but it's outrageous. Possession by any entity is a violation anyway, but to go as far as they did should get a lot of people in trouble and a public apology for doing it. Equality does not mean giving one sex the right to do what the other cannot. Mutual respect. Female body or male body...don't mess with it without the person's permission. The messages and intents of the movie are chilling to anyone who gets it's meaning. You'll see more variations of them everywhere. Pitch meeting definitely , I love the interactions between the two. The exchanges between 7:25 to 8:07 are some of the best he's done. It's crazy funny all the way through. Thank you Ryan, for realizing that toddling in absurd shoes does not make you anything but someone who lets themselves be manipulated.

I think that the great problem is when the writers want to deliver a message and not a great story. This movie and it's execution was horrible, those kids that she saved died when she landed on them. I think that there is an overcompensation with women and minorities that makes these movies just stupid. Black Panther was a great story, but I find it disingenuous because "vibranium" is everything and has no limits. The man in the suit was never great on his own outside his empathy, a huge miss at the time and even worse now that he is gone.

Pitch meeting won this one for me, and I gotta say, I don't really think the movie is *as* bad as people say it is. Certainly not a great movie, but I've seen worse movies with better scores than this one. Honestly the part I dislike most is the part most people have a problem with, how Steve was resurrected. It's stupid, but also not as bad as people make it out to be. I've seen lots of people saying that this movie made Diana an actual rapist, because she and Steve did it while he was in the stranger's body. I can certainly see where they're coming from, if the stranger's consciousness was still in there, which I don't think it was. The movie never gave any indicating that the guy was in there fighting for control, which leads me to believe that Steve's soul replaced the original until the wish was revoked. If that's the case, then you're simply left with two consenting adults. Still stupid, and weird, and certainly not good, but not as bad as people are saying. And there's a lot of people ignoring that all the wishes made from the dreamstone will go bad for the person who made it. Both honest trailer and pitch meeting mention Diana turning the jet invisible like it had no explanation, but Diana clearly says that it's something she's learning to do, since her father did it to themyscira. She wanted to know how to do that too.
