Sometimes you can put a screwdriver tip into the part and pry a bit while heating the joint ...

Heat and bump or shake part, many methods, some less messy than others !!

There is a relationship between the angle of the soldering iron and the solder sucker that takes a while to master, different methods for everyone, sometimes adding a bit of solder helps. I like watching 12Voltvids and how he removes solder parts while holding onto the component (ouch) then re solders the item holding the part and the solder with one hand and the iron with the other hand. I used to be able to do this but my hands shake a bit too much now.

Thanks for all the helpful information. Like I said in the video idk what I'm doing. I just have the basic knowledge of how it works and am still learning. "Redneck fix" for those who don't know how to fix something. It don't hurt to try.
