Indian guy here. Indians are known to have thick, soft snd shiny hair. Here's a tip straight from my Indian mother. Take some coconut oil, and heat it up. Massage it into your hair thoroughly and let it sit for atleast half an hour (ideally go atleast for an hour or two) Then rinse it out with shampoo. Conditioner is optional since your hair is probably already soft due to the oil. Do this 1-2 times a week. You can also experiment with 'Amla oil' (easily available online) and see if you like that more, it has a really strong smell though.

I highly recommend to install a shower filter to help not just your hair but your skin. I recently got the aqua bliss shower filter and I immediately noticed a change. My hair is softer and wasnt as dry compared to before. If you live in a city or your water is harsh, GET ONE.

I have begun to take care of my hair very much. I have wavy hair and I use sulfate free schampoo, conditioner, leave in conditioner, and also a hair mask. Everything but the conditioner I only do once a week. Conditioner is every other day. It has been amazing result. Do not shower your hair in too warm water, also end every shower with icecold water, to lock the moisture in your hair better. Last but not least, you got to have products designed for your hair!

my hair mask is either amla powder, or 1 full egg (which is protein treatment). Use shampoo 2 times a week, other times I just spray it with apple cider vinegar and water solution. only things I put in my hair is coconut or rosemary oil.

You can wash it with plain cold water instead of shampooing everyday that again depends on the intensity of your workout if it's less intense then maybe you can go a day or two without washing your hair. Definitely recommend you to not shampoo your hair more than twice a week if you have hair thinning already

I've had dandruff for a while, though I don't even know if its dandruff, its white flakes that are on my scalp and sometimes get into my hair, especially at my whorl. I have tried nizoral, selsun blue, t/sal shampoo, head and shoulders anti-dandruff shampoo, and this moisturizing scalp serum. None of them did anything and I still have white flakes, sometime its small and sometimes it pretty big.

Head and shoulders is awful, I used to use it and i would be itchy and dry scalp-wise, I'd reccomend getting some type of oil to moisturize your scalp, something like coconut or rosemary oil
