Just did my first rinseless yesterday with Absolute and it was a great experience. Especially now it's getting colder it's nice being able to fill a bucket with warm water! Perfect for the nasty road film that gets picked up with this weather. Can't believe I hadn't tried it earlier in all honesty

Plus you don’t need to fill up a huge 20L bucket either, do you use multiple cloths or a sponge?
@JoosySmooyay2 ай бұрын
@@GMDetails I used a maguiars noodle mitt but was a bit concerned how much it clung onto the muck even after dunking back in the bucket and rubbing against the grit guard. Ordered a sudzbudz grid sponge and will use on the next wash to see how it goes. Car is fully ceramic coated so not hugely worried about marring but would still rather avoid it

Great video as usual mate especially on such a divisive topic👏👏. I still can't get my head around the whole thing, I think im going to have to actually try it and follow your way. Using 10ltrs and a pump sprayer just to pre wet the panel, however I might just buy 6 cheap noodle mitts for the job.

Thanks Paul, it’s certainly at the beginning of something here I feel, you can use it as a quick one bucket wash on a reasonably clean car or if you want you can also use it as a shampoo replacement after your normal pre wash routine , something to play around with

Subscribed and looking forward to watching more content🤙 I must have 5 different brands of rinseless wash now, and don’t really use it for its main intended use apart from removing bird poo as my white car seems to be a magnet for the seagulls at work,because of the lubricity of these products I feel far better about trying to-remove the poo on a dirty car without doing a full wash or maring paint. As a drying aid there absolutely brilliant at adding slickness under your drying towels as your towels just glide over your paint and the slickness of your paint after is simply superb. As a QD with de-ironised water you can knock em up for pennies. Water softener in the bucket…the list goes on and on for it uses they are that versatile. New video content in the making 👍👍👍

Good evening, Graeme. Your comment about drying a clean panel next to a dirty one is something that did my head in too. I changed my method a little and, take a door for example, i prewash the panels either side too, them clean the whole door and part of either panel to each side, them only dry the door, it's as "safe" as I cam make it feel. Good video fella, all the best to you.

Hi mate, been using DIY Detail rinseless wash with their rinseless sponge for months now. I put off trying this process for quite sometime as i was worried about scratches. My worries were for nothing. I pre spray, rinse and then use rinseless with the sponge. Give it a go. Saves so much time
@GMDetails2 ай бұрын
Yeah I’m reading more that people are using it as a shampoo replacement but doing everything else as normal , I get it saves a wee bit of time too, that method will be on my list to try soon, thanks for the tip 👌

@@GMDetailsno problem.. If the car isnt excessively dirty, i spray rinseless on with a battery operated sprayer. Then i just go straight in with the bucket of rinseless and the sponge. Cuts my wash time in half

Always have a space in my arsenal for a rinseless wash 👌 I am a big fan of using them for wiping down the interior plastics to lift all the dust/fingerprints/light dirty scruffs. Mix accordingly in a sprayer, saturate a cloth in the mixture, quick wipe over followed with a dry cloth every few weeks & the dash/plastics will always look great. Can even add a couple spritz of interior dressing into the drying cloth to spruce the plastics up during the drying phase. Job done 👌

Hello Graeme, I tend to use a rinses wash more than a full wash on the X3. Its easy and quick to just pop out with a rinseless. I tend to do a full wash after a long road trip or in the winter with all the road salt. Im a massive fan of ONR but have to say Garage Therapy rinseless is also spot on. Im currently playing with P&S and for now the jury is still out on it.
@GMDetails2 ай бұрын
Hi Martin!, well you’ve surprised me yet again, I wouldn’t have thought this would have been your thing at all mate but maybe I just need to be more confident and develop a better wash technique with it to save time. Nice one. Thanks for trying it out. I'm glad more on UK YT channels are trying rw. I'm totally converted to rw. My analogy is that rw is like an air fryer. If i just want to cook a frozen battered cod and a few chips, the air fryer is much much much more convenient and quicker. Would i cook a roast dinner in one? Err, no. But someone might. RW is simply another tool in the detailer's arsenal and i highly recommend everyone gives it a few goes. Thanks again

Great video Graeme but this is a process that just doesn't appeal to me! I will give it a go at some point, maybe next spring as our country roads are so bad throughout autumn winter, but where I live there are no water shortage issues and I have zero access issues so I'd rather get the equipment out and do it 'properly'! The technology behind it is fascinating, and I appreciate it works for some people, but I just don't see the appeal when I could do a pressurised pre-wash, full safe contact wash and thoroughly rinse it all off! Horses for courses I guess! Either way, fantastic video demonstrating the process! ✅
@GMDetails2 ай бұрын
Thanks Mark!, yeah I get what you’re saying why completely change what you enjoy to a process that goes completely against everything you believe and enjoy , it won’t replace my full wash routine either but it’s useful for car shows , cleaning in a car park without a hose etc

Rinseless washes definitely have their place but only on light dirt such as in the summer. It is a quick process though and does make the car look a lot better
@GMDetails2 ай бұрын
Indeed!!, I won’t be using it in the coming few months over winter , now where did I put that Citrus oil? 🤔😂
@elonsus97472 ай бұрын
A lot of people don’t realize that you can and should still rinse the car first before you start your contact wash with rinse-less. Hence the word less. You’re rinsing less. Water is still involved. It’s not waterless. The only part you don’t rinse is at the end obviously. I use this exclusively. Yes even on muddy cars. I rinse the vehicle first, just like you would if you’re using the 2 bucket and soap method. You wouldn’t slap a wash mitt on the paint before you rinsed would you? The same applies to RW.
@GMDetails2 ай бұрын
Makes sense , just like Bilt Hamber Touch Less it’s just less faff!! 👍

Rinseless washes have become my go-to method for maintenance washes during summer as they are a much quicker way to get the car clean. Just a tip, rather than washing and drying each panel at a time, it is much quicker to apply ONR via a pump-sprayer to the entire car, then wash it all in one go the same way you would as a traditional wash, then dry at the end. Saves a lot of time as you aren't constantly changing what you're doing. Great thing about ONR is if it dries on the panel, simply re-wet it again with more ONR then wipe off. Unlike normal water, you don't get water-spotting, just 'polymer spots' which are easily removed.
@GMDetails2 ай бұрын
Yeah I’ve watched all the ONR videos from The Rag Co about polymer spotting etc , even pre rinsing and pre washing with citrus etc but I just feel as tho the ONR system is just becoming a tool in a system which is having to be repurposed into an already tried and tested routine , if ONR is only going to replace the contact wash I’d rather just use the standard system if I’ve had to use all the usual kit for pre wash. I’m not dissing anyone for liking the speed of ONR if it fits with their own routine but I tried ONR as a solution to the problem of not using a hose and on a reasonably clean car it worked well enough but wasn’t quite the same for me as my regular wash routine which I really enjoy.
@MrAmrit20122 ай бұрын
@@GMDetails Yeh exactly that. For me, it doesn't replace a full wash and I agree with you, it doesn't match the enjoyment either. For me, it's a quick way I can keep my car clean during summer. It allows you to keep on top of washes so the car is never that dirty and it takes around 30-45mins tops. I do enjoy a proper full wash but by the time you've got your pressure washer out, filled out your buckets etc, the time really does add up. Mind you if you have that extra time every few weeks then there is no issue, but if not, that's where a rinseless wash can be quite useful. Also, another great use for ONR is cleaning glass and interiors. Lot of videos on that and with good reason. I'd highly recommend trying it out.
@GMDetails2 ай бұрын
@@MrAmrit2012 I regularly use ONR on my dash plastics as I rarely scrub them with anything chemical , a cap of ONR in a 5L bucket just makes wiping down the plastics an absolute breeze as ONR helps the drying without streaks 👌
