It’s refreshing to see that there are still athletes who don’t have oversized ego and keep things in the proper perspective. Ons doesn’t make tennis all about herself. Jabeur is not the most aggressive of players and that doesn't help when it comes to finals. I also think she needs in her own mind to play down her role as an inspiration to players from the African continent. That is an added pressure she creates for herself and doesn't need. A Grand Slam win will do more to inspire than anything else

I was disappointed in Ons game today. I feel she really fell short in this final. She wasn’t moving as fast in the beginning and her shots were not clinical. Compared to how she’s been playing this tournament she definitely didn’t show up as I thought in the final. Kudos to Iga though for being relentless throughout every point. Ons needs to add more aggressiveness to her game. I notice most times she starts slow in the game and that is smth you wouldn’t want to do especially knowing you could be out in just two sets and playing against a ruthless opponent. I really do hope her team gets her better prepared next time or else she would have to examine her team or something because she can’t keep missing golden opportunities like this.

I’m heartbroken but I’m as positive as you and I’m sure you’ll come back and win a Slam very soon. Next target Australia Open. You prepare for it, you work harder, get physically better, mentally sharper, there is no turning back now. And you need to understand, in finals you must bring your A game there are no excuses, if you want to disconnect from all sources of info and social media during GS to feel better, do it then. Saying I was too stressed while playing against a teenager and with the experience that you have is not going to make it. At 4-4 today, at the tiebreak screaming and becoming nervous like that, that did not help you. She puts a ball in the line, you get frustrated, nope you put an ace to respond, you put one on the line, I know it’s easier said than done but if you can’t manage stress for finals then eliminate any source of stress. No promotional videos, no calls, no text messages, no talking with a lot of people, no social media, nothing…no need to remind yourself you represent so many people. We don’t care, you represent yourself that’s it, win for you not for us. You need to try to catch Iga and understand what is she doing differently from a year and a half ago. You played half a set today and still had chances and you’re stressing about what?! You’re not the favorite and you’re playing #1, she should be the one stressed…the lack of patience and the simple errors on important points and the inconsistent serve all need to be addressed especially in finals. Iga opened the door for you and you did not take advantage in set 2…set 1 you did not show up, look at the stats, she wasn’t that impressive or dominant. now it’s a matter of work, work and work, mentally and physically for finals specifically…
