When property developers get the green light to start clearing forrested areas further and further in this is the result. The woman that was interviewed said that the street she was standing on was unoccupied. This is a housing project currently under construction. Developers must now provide homeowners insurance into the sales contract to sell these homes because companies will not insure them any more. State Farm (California's largest provider) will not write any new policies and are threatening to pull out of California all together. Be aware of Southern California Edison's residentail fire risk assessment report before considering a home purchase in this area.

I served on the Holy fire as an inmate Firefighter out of Bautista camp..the fire burned in this same area about 6 years ago. We cut the line from Riverside Ave up the hill side to the Ortega hwy. I remember getting douced by a water drop with water from lake Elsinore... Eww

Anyone that's a firefighter battling wildfires in the summer time knows that the fire departments milk these fires. This is the season to make there money for Christmas. Pretty soon the weather will cool and there won't be fires and that means no work and overtime for them. So yes they allow them to spread and burn and drag them out. It's money and there's millions of dollars in a yearly budget for this so they better use it or lose it

Actually, I've been taught that the best way to help firefighters and other first responders is to just GET OUT so they don't have to worry about rescuing you. Once you, your family, and your neighbors are clear, you can offer support to them, but stay out of their way while they're doing what they're trained to do
