To begin,”Drives home what complete these firefighters are” makes no sense. Secondly,exactly why you say “raise” their salary again?..Firefighters already have top of the line retirement/benefits…yet for a few months out of the year when they are spotlighted during catastrophes such as we are currently seeing,all the sudden people calling for raises…They get raises every contract…Additionally,referring to firefighters as “Dolls” is inherently sexist remark.

@@richardyork9495 Oops, I missed a word in that first sentence. Will fix, thank you. I thought I read that federal firefighters just had their wages raised to $15 per hour? I'm glad that they got a raise, but $15 is quite low for the impressive work these folks are doing. Also, CalFire and USFS are well below their desired staffing. Seems like society needs to show our appreciation in a way that drives recruiting. "Guys 'n Dolls" is a famous musical, so kind of a (dated) slang term to say "You crazy Guys 'n Dolls". I did not intend to sound sexist. I can see how it's not germane to this conversation however; so I've removed.

houses in the middle of trees, without distance. and half way down, to burn if there is a fire. in many countries, houses are no longer allowed to be built in this situation. the climate is changing, and people have to understand that. as for the firemen, they are still angels ready to help.
