to add up, Samsung 35Es are 8 Amps max of continuous discharge so at a configuration of 10s3p, they will probably allow around 20 Amps which in my opinion is a very low Amperage for an Esk8. As for the overheating problem, probably the motors are too small for the load. They push more current when they are struggling to keep up so that might explain the issue.

Correct, this is a good example of a 12s3p to 10s4p power comparison although other factors like motor KV, gearing and the actual firmware are big influences on the final performance. The 35E can handle enough amps to run the GTR well while providing maximum range and longevity. On a side note, the fluctuations in the GTR's battery % are a communication error between ESC and remote and not an indication of the actual battery performance. We suggest the owner reaches out to his local Evolve service centre as we will be able to provide a fix for the % issue.

I just was about to order ONSRA, but... belt driven is not available until end of July, so thats basically all summer is gone. Then looked for DD and I was a bit surprised that total price comes to 1.478 EUR... I dont understand how you can justify the price. For additional 170 EUR EVOLVE GTR can be purchased. Yes, ONSRA on paper has better specs, but EVOLVE is premium brand with 2 years warranty compared for 180 days (with by the way again EU law for this board and no proven track of reliability...

I also wanna provide the best warranty there is and for $1478 you get the full package. I’m not complicated about the warranty when you’re small you don’t wanna take too kany risks. Let me justify that really quickly, Evolve still has issues that would concern everyone if they knew about them, critical failures, in the remote and spontaneous braking engagement, full braking BTW, check the Reddit posts. More than one evolve rider has been spat out of the board because of this behavior... they will probably fix the board yes after you crash at full speed because the board disconnected or engaged the breaks.

This Evolve Board has a problem with the battery and the rims are too tight. An Evolve GTR normally never has a volt breakdown. Top speed is not a quality comparison, Evolve made a speed limit not for fun. That is for the safety of customers. Almost all of our customers like me usually drive around 35 km / h. The driving performance and feeling is what matters.

Your board is great seeming. I have a gtr though. There is something wrong with his board or its not actually in Gtr mode. I do long rides with much better hill climbing than that and my motors get warm but definitely can touch them...

For me i cant decide which should i use. i like the Hubs, silence and less visible, but im afraid how close it fits to the Ground. if i decide for the Hub motors, i would use it with the 115 rubber or 120 cloud wheels. Ist it possible to upgrade to 150mm AT wheels later? and will the Motor still works with the Hub motors >> ithink torque will go down, but offroad i need torque more than speed.

Well I pre-ordered mine. I live in California, Bay Area region. Can you talk about the truck and the bushings. The roads aren’t the best condition here. I tend to ride at higher speed and stiffer bushings. Being able to make turns, if there’s a big crack or pothole up ahead. Can’t wait to try it out!

The only reason I can think for the evolve motors to get much hotter is that the board must have a 10S battery. The lower voltage requires higher current/amperage to match the 12S battery in power, and more current means more heat. Higher voltage means better efficiency

one possible reason for temperature difference is that both board motors were actually built with the same voltage in mind. generally, motors will run at a higher voltage.

I have a gtr. There is something wrong with that gtr in video. I did 25 miles other day, right after ride I grabbed board by motors, little warm is all. End of my trip is uphill. This video does not represent my personal experience with the gtr at all.

If you REALLY wanted to make your boards shine, find a battery manufacturer that makes a 13S battery and step the voltage down to 12S for the ESC. This would eliminate almost all voltage sag because the battery can supply a higher voltage than what the system runs on. Boosted uses a 13s2p battery. I’m pretty sure they do what I’m explaining because their boards at 1% battery still have full top speed and acceleration and it is a fantastic feeling

Boosted use LifePo4 cells, which have less voltage; that's why they can do 13s. With regular Li-Ion batteries 13s is too close to the 60V max the ESCs can handle. You risk having to replace a lot of ESCs for customers if you sold a board with 13s.

@@rusinsr Those cells are in the Boosted standard range battery. The extended range is 54.4 volts (on the battery label) = 4.2V per cell if 13S. If you wanted that voltage with LiFePo4 you'd need 15S

If not, that is fine to but i really just want to buy everything of your site. Also, do you recommend buying an esk8 if esk8-ing is still illegal in your country? I live in The Netherlands. I’m also in The Netherlands, I’m debating whether or not to move to Berlin this year but if I don’t I’ll buy one of these boards as it’s better than evolve in every way for a much cheaper price. Evolve just seem to be 100% all about the money even though some of their problems are extremely dangerous like just randomly cutting out and throwing you off the board.

Well i was riding it a couple times already and know Evolve well. Just thought it’s not good to ride another brands board and compare it at the same time. After all it’s not an in depth comparison

Sorry bro. Gotta disagree. I have both the older Carbon GT (battery day issues for sure) and new GTR Bamboo (sag doesn’t exist on this board). I frequently ride it to 0% and then a couple of kms more to get home and it performs like a champ. Motors get hot on both for sure, but I am a bigger guy who rides without holding back.
