As a long time fan of Billy Ray Cyrus, my heart breaks to see him like this. Whatever he’s been through to get him so deep into alcohol and/or drugs, I hope what looked like a rock bottom moment on stage causes him and hopefully his family to get him help. I’m just guessing but I think what got Billy Ray to this point started a long time ago when he and Tish moved the family from Tennessee to put down roots in Hollywood so Miley could begin her star turn as Hannah Montana. Miley sky rocketed into stardom. The family undoubtedly was affected by that as well as other Hollywood influences. Billy Ray and Tish’s marriage gradually fell apart. When Miley got into her late teens, she started her decline into drugs, partying, obnoxious behavior, etc. Now in her 30s, she fortunately seems to have matured and is on a positive trajectory professionally and hopefully personally too. I’m happy for her. Sadly, the media reports say Miley and Billy Ray are estranged. If so, I hope their relationship is restored. They were so close. I pray for Billy Ray to get sober and to find peace and love in his heart and life again.
