It's a huge problem isn't it. No matter where you go or what you want to do, you always get those people that want to one-up everything. It's a sad existence to me personally. My competition is that dude in the mirror looking back at me. I have to try and be better than the person I was yesterday. That's honestly the hardest competition I have to face because in my low moments I know that I have to try harder tomorrow, be grateful for what I have and in my best moments not to be ungrateful for what I have and not let arrogance, pride, jealousy and envy take over. Keeps me grounded and not focused on the haters but rather myself so I can effectively and consciously make those changes.

Glad I stumbled across this video. This is spot on. I've been all around the US and moved to West Virginia where the alpha male, however intellectually stunted, are all around. I had an incident with one where I didn't realize he was playing some stupid game and it progressed into chaos. This video explained it perfectly. Not responding to this dumbass is something that I have learned a lesson from. I am 64 and thought I had seen it all until this idiot. There are plenty to go around out here in the sticks. It's sad but true.

If an alpha feels burst from self identity, then they are still processing their bearings on who they are, how they feel about it, and whether or not its detrimental is irrelevant. Their image of their own identity is not my freewill sphere to take away from them, so I bear no responsibility for their dark night of the soul, just as I have no right to take any of their glorious moments of their life: I have my own life to bask and wrestle to blessing in and I will deal with my own sphere with the occasional lonely feeling that comes with a moment to moment best option I continually navigate towards. Clear boundary.

I know from being in a relationship with an alpha he can't handle me when I'm resisting his dominant attitude towards something, if I refuse to do something he'll resort to empty threats. I decide to find the best way to keep us both happy. Just get things to return to peace.

I am an INFJ but I am not sure whether I can be called a Sigma or not. I can however say that if a Sigma encounters an old school Alpha then they would get along. I know an older ESTP that is a true old school Alpha, and he is truly respectable. He doesn't care whether he has the spotlight or not, he really and truly tries to improve himself, he learns from his mistakes, he is comparable to the Sigma in every way except he is not at all intuitive. So if a Sigma met a true old school Alpha they would get along quite well. I once told that guy that if I were a follower, I would follow him, but I am not so I will walk next to him instead.

I already know some INFJ’s think they know it all and dismiss these concepts of Alpha/Sigma/Bets, but they are real, archetypes of people so it’s useful. INFJ’s are all about that ultimate path and that’s a fully developed, fully realized man an INFJ would fit into is the Sigma archetype. I know of real life examples of these types of INFJ’s and they also dismiss these notions created by others just like a Sigma, which is funny to me. It’s the end goal of a fully developed INFJ man. Every point here takes a lot of inner work and development to get there. So the sigma INFJ is a minority of a minority.

I am a Sigma INFJ and I'm the oldest of my siblings my youngest brother is an Alpha he drives me crazy with drama, and it's like he thrives on it. On the other hand, I confound him to a point he can't handle.

To answer your questions, no I have no remorse about bursting the alpha balloon when necessary. But if it comes to that, it's only because I perceive the alpha as a bully and I can't stand to watch him/her victimise some innocent person or impose his/her will unreasonably on others. And once I'm done, I feel pretty good 😊 and empowered. And I get a lot of pleasure from the underdogs feeling vindicated.

Lol not really. The world needs Alphas to lead with charisma and rally the masses. They enjoy that kinda thing, it's what they built for. Sigmas are counselor/mentors/advocates having the same or in most cases a superior skill set minus the charisma to lead the masses. They prefer to teach all including the Alphas and this in where the root of the debate lies because an alpha will almost always lose to the Sigma because of the simple fact that the Sigma serves the best interests of everyone where the Alpha always see to their needs first and foremost then everyone under them second.

Think about it this way. A Sigma wolf would be the one who teaches the Alpha to howl. He can do it just as well as them if not better but chooses to use his power in a manner that would benefit all. Alphas tend to be more self serving in their intentions generally putting themselves first and the betas who follow them second. They are the kings of their social circles. The disconnect comes because an alpha is so used to beta type behavior that they initially view the Sigma as a beta but after either a series of interactions or just a simple meeting, they realise that they are dealing with a whole different human being altogether and this sort of scares them because they see quiet beta behaviour mixed with Super Alpha ideas and actions and it all goes downhill from there 😅

according to the bible, these 2 do not live in the same "world" (as in the world that was/is/will be. The Alpha live in the first/second world of authority and obedience. There has been lots of wickedness been justified in the name of obedience. This why the 1st world became full of wickedness, Noah was a preacher of righteousness. Actually, Alpha have the pressure of being Alpha while Sigma INFJ doesn't and they're not moreso into Conflict and Confrontations, unlike Alpha whose burden with heavy Expectations and much more Attention, which prone to attract more Problems and Issues with others. Sigma INFJ can just go into spotlight when he wants and presents himself in a much Good Image and gone after that, and nobody cares, they don't have the burdensome expectations that Alphas do.
