​@DeviceAnathema It is a little difficult to follow the judge as she speaks quickly at times, but she does state that after the daughter told her teacher, the mother attended the school and talked the teacher from filing a report, it is at approx the 12:54 mark of the video. Quite frankly, (And understand these are not excuses but could explain the situation) unless the teacher is related the mother or they are good friends, I cannot fathom what the teacher was thinking!

There are so many problems when you bring in a new partner that isn't a biological parent. Risk of all types of abuse skyrocket. Also, fyi, that attorney for CPS doesn’t have just an accent, but some issues with sinuses/tonsils. My daughter sounded just like that and had to go to speech therapy until the therapist sent her to an ENT. Had surgery and didn’t sound nasal/muffled after that.

It is a failure of our Judicial system and of the DA that the "Mother" was not charged with neglect, willful endangerment, abuse, ..etc. I came from a "family" that lived in denial, extended parenting at their convenience, willfully neglected threat of the environment they often left me in and neglected my medical needs to the point that I was in a bodycast at ten that could have been easily prevented had I seen a doctor at the age of four or five.. I suffered with dislocated hips and a twisted pelvis for at least six years. No one has ever faced any accountability whatsoever. We need a better system. We focus upon the loudest that are often abusing those that never learn how to advocate for themselves and are left lonely and isolated. Shame on those people..mostly that animal that raped a little girl/young lady.

Why isn't she in jail? The mother failed to report the abuses once being made a where of them and she allowed the perpetrator to remain in the home she knowingly and willfully allowed the perpetrator to continue to have access to her children therefor she facilitated the continued abuses. The teacher, who is a "mandated by law to report allegations of abuse" chose to ignore the mandate the teacher also allowed the abuses to continue and therefor help facilitate the abuses to continue. Here's the really sick part. Depending upon the state where the sexual abuse had occurred the perpetrator may not only have visitation with the child which includes unsupervised and overnight visitation but because nothing prevents him, he can file for and if court so orders receive permanent custody of the child.

Defendants almost never agree to have petition read aloud in court. (I'm surprised that her atty did not advise her against it) Wow. Unbelievably horrific allegations in this case. Mom has someone come to make repairs in hewr bathroom and moves him into her home with her minor children. All she needed to do was google his name and see that he has been convicted of s.. crimes against a child. This child's innocence was taken in the one place where she should feel safest, and right uner the nose of the person who she should have protect her more than anyone else. I don't know how mom was not charged with a crime, and isn't sitting in jail along with the monster who violated her daughter. I sure hope the father has it within him to try to undo the damage done to these kids in mom's care. I am glad that atty William Amaseo was on this case. This reminds me a little of a trial I watched a few weeks ago. FL v Jonathan Quiles. He was on trial for and convicted of impregnating his 15 yr old niece. He groomed her, had her believe that he was in love with her, got her pregnant, then killed her and dumped her body in a dumpster. she was missing for many months before his crimes were discovered. Anyone interested can watch in on YT CH Law and Crime. There are many more creeps like them out in the world actively seeking out victims.

That can be self isolation as a form of self preservation from the terrible situation at home, if Mom's demeanor was brought up at the time, she could've been a case of mental damage, therefore becoming a victim herself, which she is in a way. I’m betting that “mother” Told the teacher that the child was lying and that she was pregnant by another teenager. I have a hard time believing any teacher would agree to not report that a known sex offender impregnated a 16 year old girl. That said she should still be fired because it isn’t our job to investigate or even believe an accusation. As mandated reporters our obligation is to report. Period. It seems that quite a few people dropped the ball on reporting child, mental, physical and sexual abuse? What is going to happen to those who didn't report the abuse? Are they going to be charged also?
