How did he get FOUR MURDER CHARGES dismissed?
@katherinestenlake3647
@katherinestenlake3647 10 ай бұрын
there could be a few diff reasons why, maybe a lack of or even lost/tampered/planted and/or unlawfully obtained evidence, a plea deal, was not found culpable enough to be convicted, was not read miranda rights before being asked incriminating questions, a change and/or lies found in a witness statement or even that the witness was not able to be reached for testimony, criminal complaint contains errors and/or was filed incorrectly, lack of intent if that specific crime requires an intent element, police misconduct, a pre trial intervention was able to happen, illegal stop/search and/or seizure, motions were submitted and accepted to get the case dismissed, and im sure there are other reasons why and/or how this could happen. but it’s not impossible or even improbable that it happens for even those types of charges.

I don't know, it seems like helping a teenager get birth control is a pretty good idea, and shows at least a little responsible parenting.
@mrjones2721
@mrjones2721 11 ай бұрын
It’s a normal thing for a parent to do. I’m pretty sure most parents of teenaged girls in my area do it. But then, there’s nothing normal about this D-bag. Sophie was lucky to have this woman as a stepmother. Her father refused to hear anything he didn’t want to hear, and Sophie was messed up enough to have sex with an adult when she was barely 15. Her stepmother couldn’t save her from her father or her worst impulses, but at least she could make sure the consequences wouldn’t follow Sophie for the rest of her life. Of course, the father has no idea how bad the episode makes him look. He thinks he can shove the responsibility onto his ex, when she was the only person behaving anything like an adult.

If he read the best interest factors maybe he'd have some questions that matter. I'm at 40:00 he's just asked about the gifts his parents have sent and the money he sent for the toy.. At this point I'm angry, I am the product of divorce and a brutal, drawn-out ( I'm talking 10 years plus), Multistate, custody battle. My Dad stopped sending me things when I was around 11, and had stopped sending physical presents much earlier. If I found out today that he had sent me things and my mom lied, I would honestly probably cut ties with her if I found out about it. I love my mom more than anything in the world but I can't even explain how bad it hurt when important Milestones passed in my life and my dad didn't acknowledge them. She doesn't understand that it goes deeper than hurting the other parent or family members, these kids want to know that their loved by their family whether they are currently seeing them or not. It is cruel and unusual to lie to them about where their gifts are coming from, and it's a lot more deep then a couple of toys here and there.

Couldn't agree more - her retort about children not understanding finances is moot. If a child is capable of understanding that presents under a Christmas tree are from Santa, then they're old enough to understand that their dad bought them a gift. While true they may not understand how the money was transmitted between the parents and used in the transaction of the toy, they know "dad got me this". Knowing the daughter was expecting the gift but never told "this is from dad" is heartbreaking. In my mind, the mom knew what she did would absolutely exasperate the dad. So, again we see a court case where the child is hurt to scorn the co-parent. Truly disgusting behaviour in my opinion.

@@kali-wolf Listen to the mother’s testimony again. She told the daughter who the toy was from. The daughter fixated on the idea that her father was going to send her actual dollar bills, so when she didn’t get dollar bills, she thought her father didn’t send the promised money.

@@mrjones2721yeah I know, my comment is based on the fact that I believe she is 100-percent lying, I should have been more clear about that. a five-year-old would have 100% known which toy came from who. And I don't know if you have any kids but my 4 and 6 year olds are more than capable of ordering a toy online and knowing where that money came from, kids are super tech-savvy nowadays and they might not have a lot of financial knowledge (obviously) but that little girl would have absolutely known if her dad had sent her $20, and she would have been able to tell him what she bought with it. It's super clear that she is giving them the presents and not telling them who they're from. Probably taking credit for them herself, (which doesn't really matter to me) it's the whole not letting them know how loved they are that bothers me.

She likely went through legal aid. He would have had the same opportunity. That being said, in Michigan, it’s extremely difficult to get through to them before your case. She had the advantage of time, as she likely was in contact before even filing.

I’m actually in Texas and I know legal aid is incredibly difficult to get an attorney through. They simplify don’t have the manpower to keep up with demand.

@@aliciabarnett4029 Thank you for clarifying, as I could only speak to my experience. That being said, with the case being in Michigan, what are the odds that she found someone also licensed in Michigan? That’s why assumed she approached Michigan legal aid.

This was very informative. Different jurisdictions have such different laws. In Quebec where I am from in the event of a custody dispute before a mediator, arbitrator or a judge, the minor children have a court appointed lawyer whose only client is the child/children and the Court gives defernce to their recommendations.

They are both ridiculous but she is just such a freaking liar it's painful. It's just incredibly clear how often and how blatantly she is lying, being caught, and then lying again.. like I can understand attacking his character, Etc. Who knows what he does behind closed doors.. this really can't stand liars and she's barely trying to hide the fact that she has told many many lies in court.

I haven’t seen the other hearing, but based on his questioning of her in this hearing, it’s not clear that she’s lying. A lot of the things he claims are lies sound like things he misremembered or spun.

Meg, good for you to have Integrity! I too am like you, & it’s not that I’m in favor of the father but it’s not about our feelings! Even if he broke visitation rules by saying things he shouldn’t of said 😢😢 it’s their job to correct & COMMUNICATE their expectation’s , or if he broke rules & explain to w/the client that they won’t l continue services if they break another rule & verbalize to him after the visit & before the next visit & email/mail a warning notice. Furthermore good/bad parenting has nothing to do if they have a rude, defensive, 😮abrasive & narcissistic doesn’t make him an unfit parent! This worker Mrs.Nunues should of never have been put in such position, if she thinks her “feelibgs” have a bearing in this family’s reunification! It’s total bull 🐂 💩!

i cannot believe that worker said what she said abt it giving her ptsd and saying that it’s a trigger for her. insanely unprofessional and not only that but her testimony is now veering into some rly rly personal judgement territory and that is not ok nor is it appropriate for court at ALL. she’s being completely biased against dad and she proved that by those comments she made. like i’m not doubting dad got angry and said things and even possibly yelled or was vulgar. but i do not think he got violent at all and i also believe 100% that mom was not so innocent of all of those things herself towards dad. in fact i 100% believe that mom did in fact lie or was not completely transparent about some of the answers she gave while being examined by dad. but i digress, i’m still v v v shocked abt the workers testimony n how biased she has been kinda even while answering dads examination of her imo. it was just so very inappropriate and unprofessional and unnecessary

uhm what’s bad abt asking your kids what’s been going on? like it’s not like he was like “tell me what mommy has been doing and/or saying” etc etc. i frequently ask ppl i haven’t seen in anywhere from a couple days to years the same question. like it’s not like it’s an abnormal thing to ask nor do i find it inappropriate. and i’m curious how it’s bad to say that it’s home, he’s not saying “this is where you’re going to live now all the time” i don’t see it being wrong to let the kids know that his residence is also a home for them and that they can feel at home there p much.
