Did you know that the architecture found in New Mexico is Moroccan berber architecture?. It resembles the architecture of Marrakesh and the Moroccan castles of Ouarzazate. In ancient times, the Berber Moroccans during the Spanish conquests were among the first to settle in the city and brought with them their lifestyle and architecture. As a local, the building materials and architecture are referred to as Pueblo design. After all the Taos Pueblo is over 900 years old, even before the Moors occupied Spain.
