Every now and then, Mio talks about some odd stuff during streams, and these odd topics are pretty fun to see her go on about. This time around, she happened to talk about death games, and the chat was quick to suggest that she'd be behind one. Examples include: Battle Royale, 9 Hours 9 Persons 9 Doors, Virtue's Last Reward, Zero Time Dilemma, Danganronpa, The Hunger Games, Squid Game, and so on. 0:16 - The chat saying Mio would be the mastermind to the death game is probably a reference to several things. One, the meme that "Mio is the mastermind" (黒幕はミオ), which is popular among Japanese fans and is a reference to Mio's fortune tellings being scarily accurate to the point where people joke that she isn't predicting the future, but is actually orchestrating it. Two, a collab stream from SMOK where Okayu, Korone, and Subaru joked about Mio being the host of a death game for the sake of entertainment (kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y6eUZ4GhrqmAhNE). And three, Mio's general tendency to host and plan big collabs with generally daring ideas, such as hololive Kindergarden, the Sports Festival, the haiku king, and so on and so fourth. 0:22 - If translated literally, this would be Mio saying "I don't really think about wanting other people to die," but I translated it this way because I thought it fit her intent a bit better. Either way, due to Mio's tendency to be obliviously sadistic at times, the chat jokingly questioned her if she really felt that way lol. 0:55 - The chat had a bit of fun with this moment, with some people suggesting other members like Pekora or Fubuki to be the villain holding Ayame hostage and forcing Mio to create a death game. Some other people wondered if Mio would go this far if the hostage was someone like Subaru instead. Unfortunately she didn't comment on those comments but they were fun to see in chat. Speaking of the chat's reactions, they laughed pretty hard at the fact that Mio would go all in if she was forced to do it, as if she really would have fun with it in the end. 1:18 - The word Mio has been using throughout the clip is 主催 (lit: organizer, host). I opted to translate it as "mastermind" a couple of times, because being the organizer/host of a death game usually makes you the "mastermind" or even "puppet master" behind the scenes. I thought it also fit well with the meme Mio is known for in Japanese too.

If Mio is forced into being the mastermind of a death game, the ones who have Ayame hostage should be very afraid. They may not get her to stop if Mio starts to enjoy herself.
