I am _so_ angry about the way he was treated whilst waiting for and then going to surgery. I've had surgery tons of times for my burns scars, and I was so scared and cried each time, yet there was never a risk of me dying. And for them to treat him like this makes me livid.

At my heaviest (almost 300lbs) I did the leg press thing Oompa was talking about. My grandpa had taken me and my younger brother swimming at an athletic club and someone had left it at 700lbs (no idea why) and my brother bet me I couldn’t do it. I did 10 reps. I wasn’t even sore after. He legitimately would’ve been like Atlas at that point. It’s amazing what your body can do even at what feels like your weakest.

as someone who has surgery b4 (not weight loss surgery), one thing I can say is that the first surgery I had I was scared shitless. I mean, who wouldn't be? You are being forced to sleep and there a small chance you might not even wake up after you've been forced asleep. But after I got my first one, I got two more after that. So I understand the crying bit. I remember the day of and the day before the surgery I couldn't stop thinking about the very slim chance I had of dying when I got surgery. Very happy I'm here. I was laughing in the hospital bed tho, mainly cause you can choose to get something called "Laughing Juice" before you go to the surgery room that can make fall asleep easier if you don't like the gas or the anasthesia, but in return can make you a lil light headed and you laugh more than usual.
