@@RuyLopezTheSicilian The only necessary kills would be the bosses so it'd be basically the same as spindle only outside bosses but with less ability to grind salt, and in bosses it'd be little different to the potato only run

For anyone who hasn't played Salt and Sanctuary: There are only 3 Spindlebeasts in the entire game. That is 3 Spindlebeasts too many.

On my first run that went to pitchwood i managed to slay all 3 every time i went in that damned area without ever being impaled. Never grasped why they are so hated, then one grabbed me and shotted my overleveled pg. Now i fear them with every fiber of my body

Fun fact: In the medieval era, the unicorn was actually considered one of the more savage and dangerous of beasts. To the point where when the English put a lion and a unicorn on their flag, they depicted the _unicorn_ as needing to be restrained by chains. The picture of the unicorn lying peacefully with the maiden is intended to be an ironic subversion, not the unicorn's standard mode.

@@TheBacklogs Oh awesome! There are some good farming locations for souls. Using the two hunters to the right of the Grand Cathedral's entrance and running between Father Gascoigne's arena and the bottom of the stairs gets you a buuuuuuuuuuuuuunch of Bolt Paper. You can sell all that and buy hundreds of molotovs :)

@@TheBacklogs I'm not sure a molotov only run will work because you can only carry 10 of them on your person. Should be able to get through Gascoigne at least, but after him I'm not sure if you'll have enough ammo for the bosses. If you hit an enemy with an oil urn they'll take extra damage (I think double but not 100% sure) from the next fire attack they receive, but hitting them with the urn does technically do like

Your videos are so good, they actually got me to go and give S&S a try. I really liked it! I could tell how into it I was getting when, by the time I got to the temple, I was already thinking of what my next build would be. Looking forward to Dead Space, that's a classic! (Don't tell anybody, but I only realized after I got to NG+ that I never fought any spindlebeasts. But seeing this, maybe that's for the best!)

Actually, the spindlebeasts are MUCH worse than the Frozen Reindeers. Cause the Reindeers can’t just impale you into oblivion and there you have the advantage of Three Dimensional maneuvering. Not to mention everyone’s favorite sponge, Vengarl. So yeah, Unicorns beat Thunder Deers

Can you beat salt and sanctuary by one hitting everything? I don't know if it could be done or not. But I would be interested to see the grind. This would be way less boss oriented and would be more about the grind you have to do.

Oh here's an idea, EVERY enemy is replaced by spindle beasts and bosses are replaced by a number of spindle beast with the same total health pool. So if a boss has 1000hp and SBs have say 100hp, instead of fighting the boss you'd fight 10 spindle beats in the boss arena

Hey Lemon !! I'm actually trying the "all enemies are bosses" mode I'm actually enjoying it ! It's a lot of fun and not that hard !! (just a bit slow at the begining) but even grinding isn't that long. Because the mod is actually well made ! I thought there would be random bosses everywere but they are actually placed with a lot of sens (starting with bunches of Sodden Knight and Cyclops) So yeah : I recommend checking it because it was better than I thought ^^

Probably would've gone for a magic build myself. If you can obliterate the spindlebeasts from a range, you'll die a lot less. I actually farmed Spindlebeasts for Crystal Balls in my magic run.

I need to see the entire fight with the alchemist, because I see no way to beat that without a monstrous amount of luck given you can't easily grind to get OP and beat it in seconds and the longer you take the more spindle helpers it gets.. like gawd damn.

I decided to purchase Salt and Sanctuary a few days ago, largely due to your videos on it. I met spindlebeasts yesterday. At first, I was wondering why there was a glass bottle with a message telling me to run from them. After killing two of them, I thought it was just a “haha, fear these unicorns” gag. I was then skewered. I don’t fuck with them anymore.

Yeah, Spindlebeasts are fine as long as you hit first and they hit never. It's barely possible to survive one attack if you are at full health, a high level and possibly well armored.

I was level 80+- and I could survive their attacks maybe twice (healing in the middle) Using the armor set that the Sodden Knight uses (Upgraded to III on each) Something like that. But still, way too dangerous to mess with them.
