Hey Casuals - sorry, but no recap of Fight Night Tampa. We recorded this episode last week before our winter break. We’ll be back in the new year with some great content and guests! Enjoy this week’s podcast with the homie Rob aka @McDojoLife 🥋

7:10 Gary Ferguson tried to get me to fly out to California to train with him a couple years ago. I did a free online observation of his class with Anela (the black girl in the picture/video) After doing my research (1 minute later) I was completely disgusted and appalled by Mr. Ferguson. I’d love to share my experience because he still messaged me for months and months after I tried to part ways! Thank you, Rob! I love you and Mcdojolife! Keep the martial arts legit!

Great episode. Besides that dark stuff about the kids getting hurt, i was laughing the whole time. Especially when David was doing his Indian accent lol.

Super great guest, he really fits ur guys vibe! Funny enough, I was also in a mcdojo when i was younger, took me 2 years to get from a white belt to a black belt in taekwondo! Never used anything the guy taught me after I left lol

Good episode boys. His point about the gyms using free labor and indentured servitude is very funny, but I wouldn't classify that as a mcdojo otherwise half the UFC roster goes to a mcdojo. Every other fighter has a story about being broke in Brazil or Florida or whatever and then working at their gym or sleeping at their gym or whatever in exchange for training.

I can tell you that most people don't actually that smoke. Getting up to go get beat up in sparring by a tall muscular black guy is not good. They don't want to go through the tough stuff to get to the gold.

Ppl need to understand size matters. Demetrius Johnson may be the most well rounded/talented MMA fighter ever. Mighty Mouse would get mauled to death by a primed Brock Lesnar - Cain Velasquez - JDS - DC - Etc. 95x out of 100.
@conalldonovan326215 күн бұрын
I think most people who follow/ train in combat sports understand and agree with that 100%. I believe the “size doesn’t matter” argument is made in the sense that a smaller person with extensive training usually has a better chance against a bigger person with no training (to a certain extent).
@Stiq_91215 күн бұрын
@ I agree. I only compare pro fighters because Michael Jai White has trained extensively. It’s not as if Bruce would be fighting a novice. On the contrary, I think DJ beats the crap out of 99% of untrained ppl.
