I have found very little opal traces on the surface around the gullies, small and low quality.

No we didn't. You have to dig for opals and without knowing where to dig we did not have time to do exploratory holes.

When I was there .the military dropped a very large bomb. It scared me pretty bad. Then many smaller ones .the first one was huge

Hi yes this area is part of the Barstow MOA (Military Operations Area). Did you see any dust rising in the distance? I don't know how close they come to this area for aerial bombing practice.

@@rockys999 I was in a canyon looking for rocks and huge bomb went off .It scared me i jump and ran in circles for a while. Then went back to the truck to doubled check the map. And I was on blm land. But close to a bombing range. They came back for about a hour and dropped many smaller one's. I didn't expect the first one and it was really big.
