I saw this interview on air when it was screend the other week. Madonna is looking absoloutely STUNNING at the moment. She looks so fresh and gorgeous. It's like Madonna circa 1985, IMMACULATE! She is so free and real in this interview which I LOVE, bless you Madge +

See, people don't appreciate the good stuff. We have stupid pop stars being idolized for nothing more than weird costumes, and we don't appreciate this amazing woman. thank God Madonna is around. She has brains to think about issues, and she has the balls to speak her mind. But she's the only one out there, all the other "artists" are only entertainment, but they don't really teach you anything. Madonna is a rare gem.

That is very well said! I also agree with you about the Madonna and GaGa comparisons - they're so unimportant, especially in connection to this specific interview.

" You've got to get through the rough patch of feeling like you don't fit in.." Truer words where never spoken and I thank Madonna for saying them. She's always been a scorce of strength for me, and I became a fan of her's in 1988 when I was just 9 years old, I am 33yo today and yes I am a gay male.. I wish her all the luck in the world, and I thank her for taken the time to speak out on this topic just as she did in the late 80's when AIDS had everyone running scared...

Well spoken Madonna, you're a beautiful woman inside and out. Those who bully as she said, have been bullied themselves or they enjoy putting others down to make themselves feel better or above others. I believe in karma...what goes around comes back around. Watch out all you immature, lowlife bullies...the day will come you'll be hit like a ton of bricks!😲😬 Rock On Madonna 🙂🤘

I am so happy Madonna spoke up against the recent suicides and LOVE the way she acknowledge that she wouldnt have a career if it wasnt for the GAY Community. Madonna is truly a Legend, Icon and just inspirational figure in aspects of life! Much LOVE for Lady Madonna. Been a fan since 1989 and I was just 9 years old :)

I think what a lot of these teenagers who are being bullied at high school dont realise is that its only a very short period of your life which is over in a few years. After graduation its all over. Then you move onto college/university or a career. As Ellen and Madonna both point out usually its the victims of bullying that go on to lead successful lives and the bullies end up being losers.

thanks for posting this - it's great to see Madonna making such important statements about the issue of homophobia - youth culture has become uptight/conservative/bland & feeds of the republican hate agenda - lgbt people are easy targets for bullying as religion & politics use homophobia to distract attention away from their criminal activities - for anyone out there being bullied please contact the Trevor Project or any youth based LGBT service - you are NOT alone - peace 2010 & beyond

She didn't go to the Ellen to get publicity, she did it to raise awareness. If you're really saying that she is talking about gay rights only for publicity/out do Gaga then you need to realize Madonna stood up for gay rights before anyone else did. Her personality is real, you're just a Gaga fan who doesn't understand. She said nothing bad about Elton, it is always Elton who goes and attacks her even though she will win(much like she won the Golden Globe)

Lady GaGa doesn't have an exclusive on bullying. Demi Lavato was also a victim of bullying and is a very big spokesperson for anti bullying.. The topic started with gay teen suicides from bullying and Madonna has been a supporter of gay and lesbians since the 80's, so she was very appropriate to speak here.

I get bullied daily and let me tell you this, there is NOBODY on EARTH that you can talk to that will make you feel better. Bullying should be a crime. Even though they're only children that bully there should be a fined amount taken from the family. Maybe then the families would think to do something about it.

Good point about how bullying is brought through to adulthood~ that adultz can be bullied; hence comprehensive workplace policy/law is needed to protect all. How safe adults are sets the tone for entire environments especially @ school! Madonna sayz -all bullying & harassment needs to be addressed; that we are a part of a bullying culture...Zeitgeist; though using "preference" and "choice" language is not the best. SJ

I think Madonna has an excuse, because she picked it up for living in the UK for a while, but Lady Gaga never lived there. I have an aunt that lived in Texas (from Ohio) for a while, and when she came back, she had a Texas accent and didn't realize it until we told her.

If a boy suicides for being bullied then it's not really suicide, it's murder. Bullying it's psychological violence. If a man encourages another to suicide he's charged with murder. Bullies are inflicting psychological violence on others. So a bully is a murderer. Simple as that.

@hatchcode If you look up to her that's fine. No one is saying you can't or you shouldn't. No one is trying to discourage you from religiously following a pop star. But whether on the internet or face to face, you're going to meet people who aren't going to agree with you. You're going to meet people with very strong feelings and opinions. That's life. You don't come up with all these excuses about how mean they are and how sad you're feeling because of it. You take it and deal with it.

Madonna works for the rights of gay people around the world and equality for women in impoverished nations, just because she doesn't have a camera following her every time she does anything or tweets everything just to get praise for it doesn't mean that when she finally speaks up on camera it's for attention.

@keegancassidy83 Blacks, Jews, Native Americans and many other people have been bullied and treated unfairly on a level that is unimaginable on a different and higher magnitude and they did not commit suicide. My point is regardless of the reason why someone is being bullied, resorting to suicide is not going to help the situation. Race, religious background and sexual orientation may or may not be ways in which a minority of a group may or may not feel like an outcast.

I do think this Madonna and Lady Gaga thing is being blown out of proportion by the FANS. They obviously already got over it themselves and aren't going on about it. It's people like Elton John and fans who keep on going about stuff that's irrelevant to what's going on currently.
