LOL HA HA HA !!! This videio literally saved my weekend. I have set up a delay timer with LM393, etc. Could not get it work for anything, then I see here that I need to resistor to keep my output high until the RC overtook the non-inverting input voltage and grounded the output making my life once again enjoyable. Thank you so much, and I love your videos.

Thank you so much sir, this video was so useful to understand correctly what a pull up resistor is. It has been helpful for my electronics exam!! 👏

Really nice explanation

Nicely explained, as always. I realize that all of your demo circuits aren't necessarily complete, which is fine. But I think there should be a diode across the relay coil.

Can I short outputs of two opamps circuits? Is anything wrong in that? What if Opamp 1 drives high and 2 drives low?

"Can I short outputs of two opamps circuits?" Short Answer OpAmp1 (High) + OpAmp2 (low) = short circuit between vcc & gnd. OpAmp1 (low) + OpAmp2 (high) = short circuit between vcc & gnd. Although technically a little more complicated than that allowing for OpAmp head room, current limit & many OpAmps having built in short circuit protection. Think in terms of current flow through your circuit.

Of you skip the real world hardeare options, then you get a clearer picture of oscillator criteria. You need amplification with out of phase feedback AND also magnitude dependence. So the magnitude is self limiting to a level less than the voltage difference.
