Judy, you are the same age as my mom. She too is a wise and kind woman and is very important to me. 👭. Thank you for sharing your story. I completely agree that people are craving connections. I think part od the problem is that people are too "busy" with work or putting their kids in all kinds of sports, to the point that always being "busy" prevents us from being in the moment, to reflect, to observe and embrace the world around us. I believe that some of us design our lives that way for that very reason -- to shut out the feelings of sadness, to be so busy that we dont have the time to face and work through those feelings. I'm struggling and I'm lost and..I feel numb and have a hard time crying. I lost my husband October 27th 2023. He was 67 years old and passed from brain cancer. I married him when I was 19 we were married for going on 41 years. In July of this year my 65 year old sister passed away. She was more like a mother to me. I am sorry for anyone who loses someone they love❤

I went to my first art class in my 50s. My husband died suddenly about 2 years into my classes. He had just lost his life insurance policy due to a non related health issue. I supported myself until I reached retirement age by both selling my art and teaching others to paint. It truly gave me a reason to live.

I watched this two weeks ago and have not been able to get this sweet lady out of my mind. And while I don't go around talking about what I learn in these films with my loved ones, I found myself sharing some of the wisdom she shared with me. Her explanation of experiencing ongoing grief while still loving life at the same time, well, may be life changing. Laughter and tears go together. Why has nobody ever explained this to me before? I lost my husband 8 years ago. He didn’t die but our marriage did when he left me for a woman half my age. We were together 21 years and he was my best friend. I have been lost since and struggle to let people get close to me. I think my heart is still broken and having watched this realise it always will be. I don’t have children and think I’ll probably always be alone. Am grateful for friends and the few family members I have. My pets give me comfort but my beloved dog Archie died last year which further shattered my heart. This video sure made me cry but it was a good release. Judy is an inspiring lady. Try this: In a journal begin writing two lists; One entitled: I like____ and one entitled: I love_______(fill in the blank). Turns out my list is very long and I imagine yours will be too. @@paulduffy7572 I am almost 80. You are only 51. In my thinking you're a youngster. Which means that you can discover what it means to love and be loved. Begin by reading this poem I wrote. Read it out loud to yourself every single day. Vicious Circle by Judy Ford Trust that you are lovable, even when there is no apparent evidence that you are. You are lovable even with your limitations. Accepting limitations does not diminish lovableness. It is the opposite. When we make peace with our limitations we become more lovable, and as we become more lovable we become more loving toward others, and then we become even more lovable. This is one of the most rewarding vicious circles we can fall into.

love isn't just a feeling, its a choice..... we all choose to allow ourselves to love, and to understand that this choice has connotations within the experience. knowing that in a relationship, one of the parties will end up being the first to go, barring any catastrophic loss such as a car or plane crash. I to have lost, unfortunately multiple times (2 relationship ends due to cancer) in my life, but I've chosen to go on, to move beyond the loss and sorrow. today (I'm 61) my relationship has its ups and downs (as they all do) yet I continue to choose to face this life with the possibility to experience all the love in the world. I never miss the chance to tell those who matter that I love them, because eventually we will experience the last time that we see them.... of this, I don't plan on changing anytime soon..... this is the only life we get, so choose to love regardless of external (or internal for that matter) forces that may seem challenging. in the end, love is worth it, I assure you.......

I woke at 4am and this was starring me in the face… I needed this today as my only son and I chatted about upsets and loss . I lost his father my husband too at a very early age . As I told you before my late father was a difficult person. He couldn't be a good father in this family. When I was a little girl, I could feel calm and could know me myself by doing drawing pictures. Unpredictably!...when my late father saw my activities, he was soo angry!!.. He said to me," What will you be by doing drawing!!.." I was soo shocked at that moment because I was asked to stop what made me happy!.. He couldn't make me happy! and He never gave me other solution too in order that I could be happy/ a better version!.. It was the HARDEST time when I was a little girl!.. ( Fortunately...I never obeyed him. I continued my drawing activities. Now I can harvest the fruit namely " Finding me myself!.." There are many issues made by him and nowadays I have to solve those problems well! (I'd say, by doing drawing pictures I can be a better person ( wiser ) to face our problems. I'm So Grateful having that Blessing!..🙏.) Now I'm celebrating my Life with the Ups and Downs ( for example...now I'm in the hospital accompanying my mother..🤗.) Also I only focus on whatever I can control. Justine and Michael...😊😍 I could never arrange the right sentences to thank You Both because your Videos can always INSPIRE me!..👍.. Thank you soo much!..
