By putting the arms where the legs should go, he actually incidentally made a more accurate Spinosaurus than the one depicted. We know it had a large finlike tail for swimming, and very short legs. We don’t have actual arm material yet, but by using close relatives as reference we can infer they were pretty big for a theropod, with large, curved claws for catching giant fish.

Fun fact! For the Dinosaur Bones toy thing, the spinosaurus that Max gives up assembling actually looks closer to scientifically-accurate spinosaurus as it is (that is, halfway-assembled) than the sticker that came with the toy (in 2021 new studies revealed spinosaurus was an aquatic, most likely quadrupedal predator whose sail was less pronounced if I recall correctly)
