The struggles of doing all the renovation work ourselves finally catches up with us. But we're not quitters. Having fun and finding humor in the difficulties is what keeps us going... and our catch phrase: It will all be worth it in the end!

What inspired the color blue you chose.. I dont think I would stay to drink my coffee. The astectic and color will affect people differently.. not a spot to stay in for long it will drive you a bit nutty... warm colors are inviting..the paper and wood was soo nice.. it was inviting. But its your business and I hope you guys are so successful!

​@therealgirlinthewoods Your vivid blue paint is too vivid for her. That's OK , each to their own. Bright colours can be too vibrant for some folks. It's loud and abrasive to their senses. We're all built differently.

Just like seeing strobe lights can cause a person with seizures to have one.. colors affect the mind ..your business is to attract the public.. to want success ,you will need your customers to want to come an not feel weird when they walk in.. colors matter. Regardless of being finished..that's just a fan ,being honest dont be offended it's not personal.

Lesson #1 that I learned many decades ago. NEVER use crap paint. It takes many more more coats, and never wears the same. When you wash the wall, the paint comes off. Labour is the most expensive part of painting so don’t cheap out on your paint.

I tell me customers that before every job I start,and have even gone so far as to specify SW paints only any more... They've all been super happy and ecstatic to find out they won't have to repaint or have multiple coats and double the paint usage to get a solid coloring everywhere...

"PIVOT, PIVOT, PIVOT!!!" Is all I could think of when you were moving the couches in.. Lol...(If anyone does not know, that is from the TV show, Friends, when Ross attempted to move a couch. All that work will pay off. Slow progress but progress all the same. What a blessing that all of you are so talented in building, creating things to have the ability and the knowledge to do this work yourselves. It is great to have family help. I am looking forward to seeing the finished coffee shop.

What do I know, but I think dark brown, beige and white would be ideal for a coffee shop , but yeah ,Robin egg , baby blue strategically placed in too; yeah , would also be very cool that being aesthetically pleasing to eye. 4 big sized plate glass windows , with which to look out onto the streets? Very cool man. Yeah, you'll need an expresso machine(s) with concomitant brewing set up equipment, along with an industrial sized coffee grinder. Along with that ; you already have the humongous fridge already moved in . I dunno, just trouble shooting maybe, but in addition to a large sandwich grill; and if you guys are gonna bake breads, croissants , and pastries ; you'll need a nice sized convection oven , microwave oven(s) as well as a nice industrial sized hobart mixing bowl . Wow, man, haha, lot's of work , but looks like way big fun too! In addition to wishing good luck your business venture, blessings from God to/for Belle's Coffee Shop as well. P.s. Hand trucks do the work of ten men! In both of your cases, however, they do the work of ten gals! Same difference. COOL BEANS!!

Nice to have a new video from you! Yay! You and your daughter are working so hard! The place will be amazing I’m sure once it’s all pulled together. I’m not a fan of blue however I loved the first softer blue! This blue comes across as harsh and cold. We have fish and chips chains with those colours. Mimics the deep blue ocean. For a coffee shop cafe I’d be thinking cosier colours. Young and hip yes because this is Belle’s baby . Maybe just like watching makeover shows it all comes together once’s it’s decorated! Lol But loving the layout and decor except the blue so far! Haha

At the hardware store there are furniture movers for about $30 with wheels. They are a life saver. Everyone should get them. It will save your back.

reminds me of when I was a kid, --- & my cat got stuck UNDER the couch.... pritty soon here's ME this little kid strong-arming the couch straight UP over my head (holding up one end of the couch) and ME yelling for my mom to come save the cat _"I can't hold it MUCH LONGER!"_ I had to be in like 2nd or 3rd grade or something.... (my own yelling scared the cat FURTHER BACK *Under The Couch!* ) it was a conundrum. ... I definitely needed Moms help

Endeavours with our kids are so rewarding! When my oldest was 16 she and I designed a latin dance club for a friend of ours! It was a blast and the finished product got raves. The contractors were blown away at how we could stay so far below budget. I'd had a lot of practice spinning straw into gold! 😅 My youngest daughter and I started a vaudeville style, close harmony music act that we did for a number of years before she recently started university. Too busy now but we'd like to get back at it someday. Wishing you and your daughter the absolute best with exciting your joint effort! 👍

Oh boy, been there. Was a landlady; stripped 3 rooms and a stairway in an 1860 house, cleaned each wall with TSP, primed walls AND ceiling after patching and sanding each hole in the plaster. Then repainted the place. Had paint get on the carpet too 😞 Lots of satisfaction afterward as I did it entirely alone! Couldn't now!
