Years ago I had a similar situation with 4 beaver dams near my house. I like beavers but the last dam was messing with my septic system and flooding my garage with my 66 Mustang in it. We were living in a silver mining area so the township guys came and dynamited the lodge and dam. The next morning the dam was built again so I raked it out and the next night the beavers had it rebuilt. They used different sized material including a railroad tie and I kept on raking it out. Eventually they used very small sticks and mud so it would just sift through the rake. Pretty clever critters.

NO! Beavers are among the critical species for the entire ecosystem. They are highly protected. In my country (Croatia), killing a beaver is punishable by 30 000 Euro fine or equivallent prison time. Much like bees, beavers are animals that should not be touched under any circumstance. A beaver family flooded the road and disconnected the village nearby my city. The authorities couldn't do anything about it, but to build a new route. They're that important.

Ever SINCE WE ADDED tHIS cp TO OURcULVERTS, ITS BEEN 3YRS NOW..JUST CLEAN IT OUT IN THE fALL FOR ABOUT 15 MIN,, Corrugated tubing installed through culvert inlets or beaver dams can allow water to flow without creating the cues that cause beavers to make repairs or build dams. Corrugated plastic tubing can be obtained from most stores that sell construction materials. The appropriate diameter depends on the discharge flow. If the streamflow is known, the proper size can be determined by comparing the streamflow with standard rates of discharge for different diameter tubes (table 1). Several pipes can be used to increase the flow.

Beavers are natures greatest hydro engineers and humans could learn a lot from them. But they usually tend to put their dams in places that conflict with the whole body of water. It blocks the supply as you could in the video. But beavers have really high work rate so that damn will probably be back by morning.

Our fields were flooded, couldn't mow the hay, tractors were getting stuck, trees were fallen onto the field by the beavers and big area of the forest where we get the firewood was flooded and the birch trees were starting to die. This plough is seriously compromised. First it needs to dig down into the mud instead of just skimming the top. It needed to root it's way down into the mud and then the tractor won't be barely idling in the slowest possible gear, but ripping out something that can't be completely repaired overnight. It needed to not be a 20ft long three inch black iron pipe that the poor handlers could barely handle. And the tractor operator doesn't need to go his own way and do his own thing. Other than that it was a complete success and did remove the sticks on top of the dam these guys could have done by hand in the same time period if they could work well. With a little thought this could be made into a tool that would be a pleasure to handle like Fresno ploughs have done behind horses for a couple hundred years.

Now the water lever rises over the bed while submersing your garden and soon your living room. Don't worry about the cellar, it is already flooded. All your food you've gathered is ruined, your house is ruined, your livelihood is gone. And then I come and say "I hope your house will be flooded for wrecking the dam of the beavers.".
