Absolutely chuffed with this video ! I bought an old Chubb Manifold safe from a boot sale yesterday (not a mark 4) for 3 pounds, with a view to spending my life trying to open it. Small safe about 9x6x4 inches. First time I tried the method described, and it opened! Two documents fell out, one a 'new Malaysian passport that had never been used or stamped and expired 1994, and a 'new' cheque book for the Woolwich Building Society ( now defunct). Sadly worth nothing, but great entertainment. Many thanks for you help.

You absolute legend, I've had an MOD box with one of these on sat in my garage for 10+ years I couldn't remember the combo but I remember setting it something simple, then when you said twice to 0 I remembered mine is VD which is 25 and bingo!

There is a Manifoil change key that you can get. The two change key sets you have are primarily for the USA market.

Have just aquired a MoD safe with a Manifoil Mk IV - luckily it was still set on the factory code.

Ermm, No! The Chubb Manifoil has never been manipulated open, at least no records of it being done exist hence the name Manifoil, Foils any attempt to manipulate it (Mani-foil), The UK government used it on all their secure containers/filing cabinets, MOD, MI5 and 6 still use them from place to place, It is the British version of the S&G 8400. Stick to the S&G 6700 series or other group 2 locks for practice purposes, Group 1's are Manipulation proof.

Can't believe that bank personal is actually to stupid to operate combination locks nowadays that's why the change all the Kromer locks for a Paxos. Paxos is one of the best locks of course but I love the old Kromer locks and they are not insecure at all (some specialists really say that)

Does anyone know which change key works with these locks? I have the Keedex K-18 and the GSA change key sets, but nothing seems to work.
