Lovng the new shop! Just one concern from someone who used to be on my workplace safety committee: 1:12 get a drip tray mounted to the wall under that soap dispenser in the washroom; if it drips as it's being used, you'll have a very slippery floor. You don't want anyone getting hurt from slipping on a soapy floor! (Especially the kids). Cheers to you for the fantastic job you've all done! 👍

Man, I've watched all the videos of you prepping this shop and I have you say you guys absolutely killed it. It looks fantastic. If I were closer, I'd be a customer. As a customer, the first thing you notice when you walk in a business is how clean and well maintained a space is. Your design is spot on and projects an elite image. The floor issue says volumes about you, your standards and where you set the bar. Most people would have said "Oh well somebody screwed it up and that's that gonna live with it" But your standards for your vision, your work environment for your employees and customers compelled you to spend big bucks (I know a good deal about that floor app method, it ain't cheap!) and make it right. Today the world lets the slick end slide, it's "OK" lets roll with it. But at your young age you had and have a standard, a work ethic, a dream that says "good" or "OK" is NOT enough!! Wow to see that strength and those values in a young man like you who says compromise is not an option for me, my shop, my people and spends the $$$$ to do the floor over speaks volumes about your character and standards. I am impressed and at 70 looking at you gives me hope the standards we held (and I still hold today) are finding their way into the 21st century with you being a sterling example. Keep the faith GOOD IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH keep the faith and strive for EXCELLENCE every day as you have already been doing! All the best and God bless you and your lovely family!!

I have been watching your progress. Nice job indeed! Good luck with the floor. The prep is the most critical part. Hopefully you won't have a moisture problem (up from the ground through the concrete). A moisture barrier (super heavy poly beneath the concrete before installation) is the norm for new builds to ensure adhesion and long life. We used a polyaspartic product on our new garage. Hope you’ll continue to do shop updates as separate videos. Being honest, that’s why I’m here. Don’t mind a little bit of what you do in the shop for context. But this shop build was AWESOME content. Please put 6mo and 1yr in the new shop update videos on your calendar! Really want to see how things end up after you live with it for a while. I’m sure there’ll be some changes. Obviously you still have areas to finish off. Break room, storage/prep area “behind the curtain.” I’m guessing you have employee washrooms to redo as well. Maybe follow a car through the entire process start to finish through all the different workspaces.

After you get established, you should expand, and open in NC, SC, Florida, TN, Texas, California, everywhere there are rare exotic super and hyper cars! You could have classes to teach others how to do this, and sell the right to use your name. Kinda like restaurant's, & chain stores do.

Found your channel at the beginning of this series, love how it turned out! About the floor, could it have been some sort of chemical reaction from before even the first coat went on? As in someone stepped on something and walked around the area before the coating and left some sort of chemical on the concrete that reacted as it dried out?

the back area was greasy from the previous owner, plus the parking lot had been redone. I'm with it happened between coats. Suck though.
