@@111bexstar Those are "my precious" ...first Australian Opals and I love them... I still have the best ones untouched. I'm cleaning the sand out, without taking any opal away... It's tedious, but I have a weakness for opal, above all other gemstones.. I learned how to handle opal using inexpensive Ethiopian... And I truly mean inexpensive 🤣 This is my best video😳... It hit 7k views, I can't believe it! WOW! Just noticed that... Dang Thanks for looking... I hope you come back and see me 🤣 you brought me good luck 🤞❤️

This is the perfect parcel to practice on!! There's always a possibility for a great stone if you see color!! A $50 parcel got me $1000 stone once and there is always that chance!! Easiest opal to read is Ethiopian. Best of luck cutting these opals!! 👻🌶🤘😎

@@bhutjolokia6990 thank you for that... I worked on the bluest one today and found beautiful color... Purple, blue, green and some spots of red.. it needs a lot of work, but that's what it is for.. I treat it all like it's worth a million dollars... It's amazing how good you feel with just a spot of color.. I've got another one that I've been picking on with a big sewing needle while watching TV... it's got a lot of purple and blue... I've got a new flex shaft dremel, but I've never used it. Lightning Ridge opal is getting harder to buy. Those ones with colour are better off s specimens. You can cut them but the fail rate will be high. The long thin piece is wood opal. Cut across the stick, someone you get nice colour. Cameras are terrible at picking up opal

I worked on some yesterday... Realized I need to use the flex shaft dremel... I didn't spend a lot of money on these. I've been learning on less, Ethiopian Opals that turns clear and crack😂... I treat it all like it's worth millions, just to keep a sense of responsibility. You know catching colors on a phone camera is really hard... Without good lighting is harder. Anyway, I can't complain... I didn't spend enough to even worry about it. I do have a couple of great pieces of jelly opal, with a lot of purple and electric blue. With all the sand you can't see anything. I'm going to clean them up and do another video...
