@@ArleneIaconelli-b7b it's been wonderful working with. It slow going, but I'm taking the sand out of the rest of what I have left. I'll be left with a very oddly shaped opal... I've already finished a flashy blue... I just can't grind anymore away 😂 The best for last... Thanks for watching my video..

@@111bexstar Those are "my precious" ...first Australian Opals and I love them... I still have the best ones untouched. I'm cleaning the sand out, without taking any opal away... It's tedious, but I have a weakness for opal, above all other gemstones.. I learned how to handle opal using inexpensive Ethiopian... And I truly mean inexpensive 🤣 This is my best video😳... It hit 7k views, I can't believe it! WOW! Just noticed that... Dang Thanks for looking... I hope you come back and see me 🤣 you brought me good luck 🤞❤️

I've joined two clubs and it seems although they have the equipment they're not active. I believe I'm going to set up a studio and get started. Thanks for commenting on my video... This is the perfect parcel to practice on!! There's always a possibility for a great stone if you see color!! A $50 parcel got me $1000 stone once and there is always that chance!! Easiest opal to read is Ethiopian. Best of luck cutting these opals!! 👻🌶🤘😎

@@bhutjolokia6990 thank you for that... I worked on the bluest one today and found beautiful color... Purple, blue, green and some spots of red.. it needs a lot of work, but that's what it is for.. I treat it all like it's worth a million dollars... It's amazing how good you feel with just a spot of color.. I've got another one that I've been picking on with a big sewing needle while watching TV... it's got a lot of purple and blue... I've got a new flex shaft dremel, but I've never used it. Joined another lapidary club they have several "opal people" 🤔 I'll be talking to them Tuesday night (club meeting) Thanks again for the positive comment.. I'm enjoying it and that's the best part

@@benhadigan8337 I watch Justin and talked to him about what I was doing to get a feel of Australian Opals... The price wasn't much more than shipping... Not sure how everyone can see past the sand on these Opals, but again I'm new to it all... I'm glad I didn't post my 200ct of Ethiopian Opals I started with 🤣... OMG! I still treated them with the same respect... I'm absolutely brand new to this and wouldn't need to put my hands on expensive Opal...

I start the video with his card and KZbin information. I watch his channel... Look on the "about" on his video and you'll see the offers on the opal..they have small videos on each parcel..

Lightning Ridge opal is getting harder to buy. Those ones with colour are better off s specimens. You can cut them but the fail rate will be high. The long thin piece is wood opal. Cut across the stick, someone you get nice colour. Cameras are terrible at picking up opal

@@drfill9210 that's been happening to me too... My phone trying to guess what I'm going to type next, getting so bad that it will change what I wrote after I send it... It's horrible when you can't edit it... I was typing "bot" and it popped out boy and messed it up in a live chat... I had to just leave... OMG it was embarrassing...

@@drfill9210 I'm not sure... The "bots" were coming into chat and disturbing the live chat... People started joking about "bots" and I was going to make a joke.. "nothing wrong with a little bot" (just happened here again) bot turns into boy... I didn't see it and hit the arrow ... Unbelievable! I wrote "bot.... OMG!" And everyone thought it was hilarious, I didn't and didn't say anything else.. I was so embarrassed I just left... Facebook is horrible...it pop's whole sentences in your chat line as you're trying to type and seem to get angry if you don't use it and stops working right. Anyway, I've become really aware of my messages now, but still notice different things that happens after I send

I worked on some yesterday... Realized I need to use the flex shaft dremel... I didn't spend a lot of money on these. I've been learning on less, Ethiopian Opals that turns clear and crack😂... I treat it all like it's worth millions, just to keep a sense of responsibility. You know catching colors on a phone camera is really hard... Without good lighting is harder. Anyway, I can't complain... I didn't spend enough to even worry about it. I do have a couple of great pieces of jelly opal, with a lot of purple and electric blue. With all the sand you can't see anything. I'm going to clean them up and do another video...

@@rocksopals I truly appreciate your response. I do realize that, believe me. I'm learning right now. You don't spend thousands when you are learning. You start on rocks, gems, minerals, inexpensive Ethiopian Opals, inexpensive Australian opals to get a feel of what it looks like and feels like. Then you continue to move forward. Right?

@@luket.s.4577 I can promise I didn't get jipped... These are my first and I'm learning how to work opal. They weren't much more than the shipping from Australia... The lighting is way off from using my old phone. As they say "they're much better in person"
