Brees also threw 657 attempts, compared to Rodgers 502 attempts, meaning Rodgers 45 TDs is more impressive than Brees’ 46, since Brees had more attempts at throwing the ball. That also explains why Brees had more yards than Rodgers, despite Rodgers having a better yards per attempt ratio. Rodgers also played a game less than Brees, so Rodgers stats could have been even better in TDs and yards. Btw I hate Rodgers cuz he always beats my seahawks 😂, but you have to recognize his talent regardless.

Sadly it looks like Brees' arm is toast. The last two years the battery has run out by December. And last year, he had a 5 week rest period, and it still ran out by season's end. This year, it's already looking crispy at the start of the season. He's just getting old.

These two teams were the previous two Super Bowl winners and the 2011 Saints offense was the most prolific offense in NFL history. The 49ers had one of the most improbable come back wins against Saints in playoff history and were so emotionally drained the supremely inferior Giants mopped the floor with them in the championship game.
