Very nice set of knives you have here Virtuovice. Can't wait to see those in action. Hats off to Kyley for the cKc "Hunter", one can tell that there wasa lot of care in the grinding of this Belt's spine.

Virtuovice - I am envious of your knives, particularly the unique "hunter" model made especially for you. I hope that you enjoy them and I look forward to seeing videos of them in use.

As an American I find it incredibly fascinating how you invest so much in quality hunting gear. Last animal I gutted I did with an $18 amazon kit. And I hunt with a hand me down rifle. Most guys that I hunt with are the same way.

No specific reason. This knife used the blank from my belt knife. I took about 1/8" off the entire height of the blade for wako, as well as adding the drop point. The lanyard is pre-drilled so its simply moved to a higher point in the handle for this reason. Maybe it can be used for hanging on the wall.. lol I personally never use lanyards for much. Only added them to the belt knife at user request.

i like the thickness of the kyle blade ,, many hunting knives i feel ,are too thick ,, no need unless bushcrafting with the one knife ,,, very very impressed with the kyle knife

Reducing the Blade height throughout the entire blade and handle and also takeing the spearpoint to a drop point was no mean feat on Heat Treated steel :) Lots of Cold Water Dipping :) The knife is unique and quite special work for me.

@LiamMitts I just found them. #240 / #800 seems good to change edge angle and to restore chips. #2000 seems good to remove scratches made by the coarse stone. #3000 or #4000 is too fine when we strop after sharpening. I guess #2000 is a rare item. Thank you!

have two svords: golok and peasant. Golok took alot of hours reprofiling, handle scales are loose steel great though, feels 57 to 58hrc. peasant was junk hrc feels like 51hrc to 53hrc,so soft for carbon steel and does not hold edge, enzo 12c27 necker 100 times better. Not sure i can recommend svord, though leather sheath for golok is great. Hard to rehandle golok in nz no knife supplies.

Heinnie Hayness in the UK has Svord Drop Point Huter from New Zealand. It is very similar to this one. But it has a large angle secondary V bevel and we need to regrind it from a mid line to make a new zero convex bevel. I have a video on my channel where I reprofiled its bevel. Kyley aka knivesandstuff on KZbin can still have stocks of this knife. Thanks.

no insecurity here at all. the quality of any knife is in the performance of the knife. Anyone that thinks fit and finish is what makes a knife a good knife is someone that really doesn't understand knives or the use of them. More like an arm chair critic. Your opinion doesn't hurt my feelings at all, but you do insult the owner of the knife. if someone wants to pay $300US for flash finish thats great. if they want the same quality for $100 you loose the finish, or buy a cheap knife.
@swampfox29607
@swampfox29607 14 жыл бұрын
if you just collect knives, and never actually use them, then fit and finish may override function...if you buy a knife to actually use, the only things that count are cutting ability, edge retention, and ergonomics... IMHO cKc knives excel in all three areas....have you had a chance to use a cKc knife?

I've left no comment on your page. Wako already reviewed my knife which he has and has expressed how satisfied he is with the quality and value. You have never touched my work yet call it cheap looking. Are you drinking? You insult me with calling me insecure. you insult him by telling him you hope he didn't pay much for the item after he has expressed joy with it. You are a youtube lout. There is no denying that you offered nothing positive in any of your commentary. The End. Sorry Wako.
