I feel like people should remember that even though all of these people are friends, this is still their job. I’m sure it was hard for them to make the choice they did, but ultimately Matt’s schedule was probably causing conflict with theirs. Also, I’m sure that having someone be a part of two different podcasts would be difficult when it comes to sponsorships as well, because they might receive a sponsor on this podcast who is a direct competitor with a company that Matt might advertise on his, and there could be negotiations in the contracts they sign saying none of them can promote a direct competitor. That’s just a speculation, idk if that is true or not, but I know when I was working for a big retail company, in the employee handbook it specifically said we weren’t allowed to work for any of their competitors (ex. I couldn’t work for them and have a part time job at Walmart as well). So I’m sure there could be a similar issue when you’re trying to do sponsorships, they probably ask them not to promote any competitors for a certain amount of time after promoting their company. So beyond their friendships, they have to be respectful of the business they are running as well.

@@clementine8853 also the fact that they made it seem like Matt leaving was his choice. A lot of people were upset when he left and thought it was his choice when it’s a completely different story. If Kenny needed a job they should have gave him a different one then Matt’s place. They obviously needed extra hands because Mariah did everything and ran around the whole podcast making sure things worked.

You made it sound mutual, but asking him to leave for having a separate podcast of his own feels... petty? I don’t know. I get that he was understanding, but it seems like you made everyone think it was mutual because you knew people would be upset that you did that to your friend.

I think they asked him to leave not only because he was starting his own podcast, but also because Kenny moved in with Heath and Mariah and probably didn’t have a stable income at that moment and needed to get back on his feet. Kenny did say he used to work at Gucci and recently quit to focus on voice acting.

When they started talking about people finding their confidence during this pandemic I was in awe. Like I related to that so hard. Even with how hard this year has been I’m still very grateful for it. I’ve found my style, confidence, and happiness. I’ve been coming out to more and more people. It’s honestly insane. I think about how toxic high school is like I always felt so pressured. And now I can be myself more.
