any other video was too -outdated-. I managed to make it work in 1.4. The new layer button is now under layers. And don't forget to change the layers to vector-based!

Hello TJ, I have a big issue with the vector inbetweening, maybe you can help me out.. Whenever I create inbetweens, the bezier points and it´s handles on my line are shifting/adding/vanishing creating woobles in the line I don´t want. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for your great tutorials! Cheers

It works in the new version, which part didn't work? Ther are mnor adjustments, like Render is not in File but in Render tab atl

Im having a rough go at it lol, spent the past 5 hours trying to figure out how to get some white text on a black frame to fade to black. Giving up for now. Great vid by the way, did learn something quite useful!

I think this happens to Raster images. It only works on Vector, according to manual. I was seeing similar... but kinda expected it to only be with Vector images. Someone would have to figure out how to morph every pixel if it wasn't.

I have a question. I you want to create a character but also ensure they can rotate. I'm assuming you use the same principle?

If the vertical gray Inbetween strip with Interpolation options just disappeared when you started drawing the second example, you probably deleted the first column and automatically created a new Raster level. This is all only applicable in Vector level (Level - New - New vector level)

is it possible to import vector drawings from inkscape? in svg format? and do Inbetweening with them?

Yes. It can sometimes have issues, depending on the SVG drawing. I find sometimes I have to do some clean up on the drawing in Inkscape before exporting it to OpenToonz to get the best results.

Although it looks very useful. It doesn't come very handy in actual animation. There are not many ways or instances where you could use its uniqueness creatively. All useful things it can do can also be found in animate tool(without much hassle) . If reader of this comment know how can we used it more creatively pls reply.

tooo fast for a beginner. At all i understand it and can do it with photoshop too, but when you are new to OT, its frustrating to go 10x back to follow your tutorial because you are such a pro and make it too fast. Anyway i give a thump up because i know how hard it is as pro to slow down.

@@TJFREE Thanks for your nice feedback of my comment :-) Yes it would be good to make a new video, because your recorded video was made with version 1.3, and atm. we have 1.4, which is different. For e.g. to find the NEW LAYER or what it was, is now not longer in "FILE" it has a seperate menu now. This all ppl have to find first by there own. And to click on the LINE to see the 2 vector points doesnt work (maybe anymore) (i can work with illustrator and affinity designer), but in this software i wasnt able to find the end points of the line what ever i tried. Maybe also a new version problem. Hope it helps.
