What I've learned so far, is most of this is going to be in vector view. he's also not using the latest version and they have added, changed and taken out a few things. To compensate, open the online manual when you're stuck. Stop the video until you get what he's saying. Third, do a google search for an element. While you're looking for one thing, you'll probably find four additional things that will stick with you.

All your tutorials are GREAT, TJ, including the ones for other programs like Pencil. What I want to know is - can I save separate frames as png's?
@seaandstorm4 жыл бұрын
Nice tutorial. Maybe it's new with 1.4, but I found that you can add the rigging directly without moving the center points and it works just fine. I can't figure out how to squash and stretch a rigged figure and keep everything connected. Is this a pegboard thing like you were mentioning at the end?

If I had the whole character collapsed into a subfolder, could I create a subfolder within it just for the head (hair, eyes,mouth). I wanted to have frame by frame loops for the eyes and mouth, while having the character's bangs being mapped to the head node just like the arms are mapped to the body node. I apologize if my question is a bit confusing.😅
@robertcammack9022 жыл бұрын
Hi again. With the help of your tutorials I am slowly getting the way of this program. Thanks. One point I found . My character has rather a large chin which must be in front of his shirt and jacket. The same with other parts of the body. The hands must be behind the jacket cuffs. I sorted all this out with cut and paste but it has to be done before starting on the rigging as it swaps all the columns round and if you have already rigged the scene it goes all haywire! Can you give us another tutorial as to how to get two characters on the screen at the same time - say, having a sword fight? Thanks.

So asked in a previous comment if you had a video that show how to animate the chatacter you created in Inkscape, just got the answer for that. But just wondering, If you wanted to show the side view and animate it you will will have to use inkscape and draw a side view of the character as well as the back and a 45deg as well. so for each side of the character you will have to crate that in inkscape then bring it into opentoonz and then animate it?

Can all objects be selected at one time to scale the animation?
@daysintirol2 жыл бұрын
I love all the tutorials so far. I'm getting a little stuck with this one. Once I change the schematic and the scale has changed, I wasn't able to separately move the different levels/columns from each other. I'm thinking I've missed something ... (I figured out what was happening but decided to leave it in in case it helps someone else...) Before I changed the schematic I adjusted the scale of each item to 50%, but after I reconnected the schematic, the parts aside from the body that were 50% became 25% because the body was 50%. I fixed this by changing everything back to 100% resetting everything, then only reducing the body to 50% which adjusted everything else. (I hope that made some sense!)

Can i save the skeleton character and use it for further use? if yes how? Please explain
@LeoPerezmusic3 жыл бұрын
I figured it out. You can simply load it from the "open level" menu or from the browser window in Opentoonz, by right clicking on the file you want to import, and click on "Load as a sub xsheet". It will appear in your normal timeline/xsheet, but only in one layer/column with everything apparently merged. However, all the schematics remain underneath, all you have to do is click on the button above the timeline (in the timeline toolbar) that has an arrow entering a square, which reads (on hover) "Open Sub XSheet", and VOILA, all will be there for you to edit if needed, including schematics. This is extremely useful and powerful. Just like Flash in the all days when you had symbols, which could always reuse. I love this software.
