Hi! Great tutorials. When I try to use the fill tool after chooing the colour in "Colour 2" I just get a gray colour in the area to b e filled. How can I fix this? Thanks

02:32 ("all of our different levels" probably should be "different frames") this seems to be applicable to brush, but not to shapes. For shapes I can't manage the style in multiple frames simultaneously, just like e.g. fill in the video (the point is missing though, why does one changes throughout the frames, and others don't)

Hi, can i download 2d characters online and insert them here and then animate?? Also, can i insert a background from my existing image files or do i have to draw the whole thing???

Good question. Yes you can download characters and import them and also import existing backgrounds.

I have a dillema: should I do everything in OpenToonz or should I create my models first in Inkscape and then import them in OpenToolz???

Im just starting and I think Inkscape seems to be more efficient, but how did it turn out for you ?

TJ, thanks for the tutorial. I downloaded OpenToonz and it crashes while starting up after 4 seconds. Any ideas? I have a 5 year old Lenovo desktop running Windows 10. I tried removing the setup file under OpenToonz Stuff/profiles/layouts but it still crashed.

Put all of the colors on my first frame, then copied and pasted that image into a different level so that the pallet appears, then deleted the image. The pallet stays on that new level.

Yes, as separate levels, but they will all turn into one video animation in the final export.

Hi ! when I change color ( color 1) in palette ( explained @ 1.33 minutes onwards) the stroke color does not change on the screen ( shows grey) I am using version 1.4.How do I resolve this ? pls help

click on the edited frames below 'table' where it says Col.A on the right side of the display edit area.
