Hi Lee , Great idea for my electric 2m R.E.S models . I have just received a Taranis QX7S ,and have been reading up on setting it up ,and watching your videos , Which by the way , are some of best that I have watched . I have a question re battery setup My Q7 came with a batt holder for 2 Li-ion batteries , but .l wish to use a 6 cell nimh pac .with a servo plug in the centre of the lead ,to make charging easier I will just take off the plug that goes into the circuit board and solder to the end of the servo lead . Q1 - the plug for the circuit board has a centre yellow wire ,is that only required for when using the Li - ion batteries . Q2 - on the positive wire is a shrink wrapped something , ? , would I leave this in the lead for the nimh batteries Hoping you can make sense of all this , All the best from Queensland, Aus Derry Toms

Hi Derry, not sure what you mean by 'servo' connector. I'm guessing that you mean balance tap connector? Usually only the two outer pins are used on the balance tap on the radio to get the full battery voltage. Not sure what you mean by heat wrapped something. Sorry I can't be more help - maybe include a link to a photo showing what you mean and I can take a look..

I would add a second switch as a security precaution so that it only activates throttle when the second switch is also set in certain position. It could also be done with the SH switch and then using a certain duration before throttle can be enabled. 😉

There is always a few ways to de pretty much anything in OpenTX. Please share your ideas with the community to help others see how to set up things in OpenTX
