This just popped up into my recommendations, but the algorithm did its work. Love the compositions and wading into acoustic with electronic as well. This is done so tasteful.

Great episode! The simple elegance of "Hoyt-Schermerhorn" blew my mind. Also, the idea of quantizing keyboard mashes in a DAW is so sick.

You never cease to impress me Saad...you have definitely got your finger on the pulse with your show. I first heard Christopher with the piece Meander, Spiral, Explode-an amazing percussion based piece. I also think he is one of the best living composers to integrate electronic music into the established acoustic ensembles-always done with great taste and imagination...Memory Palace is also just amazing. I was shocked to learn that he now composes straight into the DAW and creates the score afterwards; with the amount of layers in his music, I would have thought the opposite. Also, Saad, whatever happened to the autographed wall segment of the show???

We still do the autographs but I decided to just take pictures/video of the guests while they are doing it and throw it up on my Instagram instead! -- I was surprised to find out about 6 months in that Chris was watching my show without me knowing -- so it was only natural to have him on!
