You guys are world class, its only fitting you have world class reactors who can take their fans deeper into the music. Cheers to all. Ennio Morricone was one of the best composers, listen to -- The Mission (Gabriel's Oboe).

Says the group that has made some of the greatest youtube music videos ever... PMJ are renowned for taking great songs, turning them on their heads and making them soooooo smooth. In this case helped by shamelessly stealing the Habenera rythym ( the sexiest song of all time IMHO)

This is fantastic.❤️ I love finally watching a reaction video from a person who knows a thing or two about music, AND is invested in learning even more. You did your research, and then some! You also have just about the best stank face I’ve ever seen, and I just know we are all mirroring you, while we watch along, but I’m sure you look waayyy cuter than I do, lol. I am so happy for you that you discovered the magic that is Effie, and that is Postmodern Jukebox.☺️

HI Jess! You know that's no ordinary pianist. That's Scott Bradlee he originated the concept of Post Modern Jukebox and is the arranger and producer of all of their productions. Oh yes, and plays a mean piano. He also is a book author: "Outside the Jukebox: How I Turned My Vintage Music Obsession into My Dream Gig" (2018). I believe he has done hundreds of videos in collaboration with many, many performers. They're also on several tours each year. Worth checking out in your area!

It is fabulous to attend your videos, each one of them is an in depth music lesson, not only we can enjoy great songs but we can learn a lot about the compositions we are listening to. This track surprised me tremendously, and, although I knew that PMJ's adaptations are fabulous, I never thought that a rock track like this could have such an unexpected twist. A huge hug and I look forward to continue learning with you, thank you very much.

The rationale for this style would be the standard PMJ rationale..... "Because, why not!" Ninch Inch Nails "Closer" > 70's Funk style I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For > Gospel Soul style MMMbop - Doo Wop style and on and on and on Where's the fun in doing a cover in the same style? 😀

Ennio Morricone wrote the most amazing soundtracks... If you don't know them, there's a great soprano part in (English trans) Ecstasy of Gold. Unfathomably, he wrote and recorded the complete soundtrack to The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly, and the director Leone shot the film scenes to fit the music.

I love your honesty! Well, Spaghetti western are films that was shot in Italian Studios in Italy and not in the USA and many of them as you said were composed by Ennio Morricone, the correlation is the music style of the mid 60s and 70s with "Italian touch" of that era. So, I guess what they mean is this cover has the influence of the music from the mid 60s until 70s. :)

I had the pleasure of attending my first PMJ show last week, and this old lady was crying and screaming listening to Effie. I can’t say enough about how she moves me! I love your critiques of music and your facial expressions are the best. Thanks for the music lessons.

I sometimes think that Scott picks songs at random and then thinks, "How different can I make this without turning it into an over-the-top comic parody?" In this case, he took a rock song and made it into a Southern Italian tarantella. The trumpet accompaniment just cements the spaghetti Western credentials. I couldn't decide if it reminded me of the soundtrack from "The Magnificant Seven" or if I was supposed to see it as an attempt to put sound to a Kabuki cowboy theater piece. If that sounds confusing, color me confused. 🤔

Hi ! Great reaction and analysis! I've just discovered your channel (happily!)... Thank you for your wonderful work and for conveying the love for music 🎵 Please, could you consider reacting and analysing Blackbriar? They are an outstanding symphonic metal band from The Netherlands. They have beautiful and interesting stories described in their songs. They use beautiful lyrics for telling those stories. Their vocalist (and co-founder, and lyricist, and composer of the main melodies, and some kind of soul of the band) Zora, really has a unique, emotional and talented voice, infallible vocal techniques with incredible vocal power that perfectly fit their sensitive and excellent orchestration with dozens of musical details in each song. Also, the visuals of their music videos are always breathtaking with rich cinematography and beautiful aesthetics. Moreover, Zora's acting in their music videos is out of this world and having you with just one glance. As a result, the emotion that overwhelms us is for sure exactly what they wanted to share with us. For me, Zora is an hypersensitive genius with a voice from another galaxy, brighter and more beautiful. If I mention their total commitment and attention to details and Zora's gift for finding the beauty hidden in the dark corners of humanity and revealing it to us, as well as the historical consistency of all their videos and lyrics, do I convince you? ☺️ Or the fact that out of 33 tracks, 30 of them are my favourites, absolute masterpieces (it's crazy!)? Yes, OK, I'm a fan, but still: objectively speaking... this band is incredible! My advice would be to have an ear for their latest song: 'Cicada (Official Music Video)'. Zora's voice is here so UNIQUE and talented ...And they've also released 'Cicada (Isolated Vocals)' for in-depth analysis "in premium mode" 😉! (isn't it a golden opportunity?♥️). It would be great and different from the other reactors to mix the two versions in one reaction video. I'm pretty sure you won't regret ☺️
