THIS is what's always great to see in theatre, a show that starts life as a tiny, fringe show in a venue of less than 100, growing gradually until it has a long standing run in the west end, countless 5* reviews and now multiple Olivier awards, not to mention a likely future overseas! Long may it continue!

We loved the show so much we got the cast recording and my husband tears up every time he hears Dear Bill. I bought the big souvenir program just so I could read how they wove the real history through the show. It takes real skill to use musical frivolity to surface such hard truths with heart. Gosh, now I need to listen to the album again!

Literally stumbled upon this show in the West End last summer and have been raving about it to anyone who asks about our trip to London. So happy to see this amazing company recognized for this phenomenal show! Can't wait to see what else they come up with. We had tickets for May 2020 but covid closed the theatre, but luckily saw it at southwark playhouse. There's something so wonderful and dynamic about seeing a small group of performers build and fight their way to the top.
