CoN is actually a good game. There is a gold mechanic, that can make paytowinners stupid overpowered, but there is an unwritten rule to only use it on classic full-world balanced scenario. That rule is mostly in Call of War, same thing but in WW2. In CoN, there are fewer pay-to-winners in general, so have fun.

Yeah, it's a game like Call of War. Real time multiplayer strategy. It would actually be really entertaining if there wasn't a shitty microtransaction mechanic. It makes it Pay2Win, because everyone who has enough gold can just buy endless units. But a non-gold game is still pretty good.

@@gebdemedici I've never played CoN or CoW, but in Supremacy1914 it's very possible to beat most golders with strategy and skill, unless they're mega-whaling (1,000+ dollars) in which case you just roll over and die. I've personally beaten someone who spent a couple hundred dollars destroying my fortifications province by province until I'd built up my air force enough in secret to stomp on him, gold or not.

I mean Italy was pretty bad but this is mostly on Germany, it's impossible for Italy to win North Africa alone in MP and they probably had to hold the Allies in the south alone as well meaning they didn't want to leave units on VPs. A mistake, but an understandable one, unlike not making a fucking army as Germany and failing to even put 1m casualties on the Russians.

@@Cruiserczcz Not really. There was the Belfast Blitz after all. Though really we should still have joined in on the war. The Nazi's Luftwaffe was already incredibly limited and I doubt they'd prioritize Ireland over the UK. Even if they did bomb us to oblivion, we wouldn't have been a significant threat to them and it wouldn't be worth splitting the Luftwaffe like that. The main reason why we didn't get involved is not down to fear of being bombed and more to do with de Valera (Irish President) being a twat. He was honestly closer to the Nazi's than anything else, was close to the German minister Herr Hempel, he believed Hitler would win the war (apparently, according to his deputy and other high ranking political members in Ireland) and the *AMERICAN* minister despised the Irish government believing them to be conspiring with the Nazis. After the war however, much of that history has been revisioned and censored. The worst part in regards to Ireland and WW2 however is how afterwards, and still even to this day, those that went to help the British in the war, as quite a few did, were hated for going to help the English, and rather than being praised or remembered for their service, they were treated horribly after they returned. I think their graves have even been attacked/destroyed a few times. In saying all that, Ireland was not on the Germans side. They did help the Allies, particularly when in it came to D-Day. (However de Valera never thought the US would get involved and probably decided to switch to supporting the Allies after that was the case.) I'm Irish myself by the way and studied a lot of Irish history in college and I don't know if it's just Ireland but it's disgusting how twisted Irish history is here. History is taught in a very biased, specific way and not many know about how events really went down. It's really presented in a way to make Ireland look better than they truly were. And if you every say anything that isn't singing Ireland's praises, you get attacked. Bloody patriotism... (But yeah, fighter escorts were only necessary for large scale attacks against heavily defended areas like London. It wasn't rare for there to be long range bombing runs without escorts. It would especially be unnecessary for Ireland which had no radar or airforce. Even if we got British fighters, we wouldn't have trained pilots.)

I can definitely say paratroopers are insane during a game of HOI4 I was playing Germany and I decided to declare war on Nationalist Spain (the reasons was I went for the Berlin-Moscow Pact and everything west of Finland and the Baltic States was mine. So I put a small group of soldiers around 14-15 divisions in Gibraltar with 10 divisions of Paratroopers set for Madrid I declared war and moved in the massive army I had to the north stalled and would remain stalled up until the last two months. But the south was another matter my Paratroopers dropped into their capital and held it and they would hold it. After the front stalled and their capital was under my command the ai sent troops help take back the city mainly because their capital had 10 forts and as a result the paratroopers held until the rear secondary front of Gibraltar became the main line and my original land now was the secondary line after 9 months they finally had reinforcements and retreated needless to say those Paratroopers became My favorite unit.

On the 11th of December, 1941, a flotilla of Canadian destroyers operating in the Mediterranean Sea radioed an alert to a nearby British fleet with a very simple message. *Task Force Maple Syrup-3 to British Fleet* *Destroyers have engaged large Italian surface force, believed to be Italian Pride of Fleet. Request support.* When the British fleet arrived, they discovered that the Canadians were, indeed, correct. Task Force Maple Syrup-3 had intercepted and stalled the Pride of the Italian Fleet for long enough that the British were able to finish the job the Canadians had started. British sailors remarked that the Canadian destroyers "looked like Swiss cheese", with one sailor going further. "Their citadels were full of holes, their hulls were barely watertight, the guns looked like they'd been shredded, and God above I pity the poor sailors onboard for the Lord hath no fury like those Italian sailors unleashed upon them. But they were alive, spiteful, and I swore I could hear one shouting to me, 'Here come the Brits, stealing all our kills!'" The reason why the Canadians sustained such complete and yet ineffective damage boils down to the incredibly aggressive tactics of the Canadians, coupled with terrible Italian gunnery. As the Canadian destroyers chased splashes while deploying a thick smokescreen to mask their advance, Italian crews fumbled with shells and ranging instruments. Once close enough, the Italian guns proved ineffective as the Canadian destroyers were too close to their hostile counterparts, leading not only to friendly-fire incidents but negating the advantage of the bigger Italian guns, as the Canadians were below the minimum depression point. The Canadians, for their part, pounded away with tiny guns, doing their damnedest to buy time- and succeeding.
