And when we liberated Kuwait, they still had cities left to live in, not smoldering piles of rubble, because we attacked Iraqi military forces, not Kuwaiti civilian infrastructure. And we let Saddam keep his country, as long as he complied with UN weapons inspections. He failed to live up to those requirements. The US followed through on delivering the consequences. In retrospect, I think the US acted too hastily and perhaps set in motion a series of events that it did not fully anticipate or prepare for. However, Saddam Hussein was far from an innocent bystander.

She passed away in 2015 age 94. But she did write a short book in the 1960s, only in the 2 weeks holidays a year. 10 years it was. My Father, Polish, was 12 in 1939. Both families sent to death to Siberia. Few escaped

Horrible times she must have experienced, at the same age as my friend's late mother when she fled eastern germany from the advancing Soviet army. They had to flee so abruptly that of five children her mother could only bring along the youngest baby and the oldest, my friends mother. Never knew what happened to the other three kids. My friend's mother hated Germany so intensely that she learned to speak Danish fluently in 3 months and never spoke German again. Had she come to experience the russians/ Soviets, their conduct equal to how they behaved against Poland, she would have had the same hate for them. Now 80 years later the russians still have the exact same conduct in and against Ukraine. russia is a genocidal terrorist state.

I would like to see Starsky's organization produce a weekly map of the flow of online propaganda from the russian online propaganda houses. Expose where it's coming from and where its going to, which blogs and comment groups. Seeing the propaganda path is key to fighting it. Without publicly tracking it we are closing our eyes to digital infiltration. We are living in the dark.

I've often thought that I'd like to see someone with some creative talent and research chops do comprehensive weekly videos on the state of Kremlin disinformation. Something like "This Week in Russian Propaganda." I'd even wondered if I could try it myself, but I don't think I have the time or talent or energy to do justice to it. And the longer the war goes on, the more that sources for Russoprop get buried in the algorithm under more current news. I've tried to search for bits of propaganda that I remember from a year or two ago, and it's really hard find the right keywords that will recall them back near the top of the search results.

I have a friend of decades who is very intelligent, and he asked me awhile back; "How do you identify what is propaganda, misinformation, etc and what isn't?" I simply told him to watch for things that target a segment of society, creating those targeted to become the "others", who are to blame for all of our problems, and to also watch for ideas that create division amongst the social fabric, turning social groups against each other instead of finding common ground to solve Real Problems that affect everyone. After some time my friend thanked me and said that what I had suggested was very helpful and he had become an Atheist. 🤔 hmmm...Not the result I expected, but again not too surprising. I'm not an Atheist, I'm Agnostic, but I can appreciate his rejection of Organized Religion. What is frustrating is that I seem to have been aware of Propaganda my entire life, in a natural organic sense, only recognizing it as bullschitt. Watching so many fall for Bullschitt Propaganda is, like I mentioned, is so very frustrating. 💛🇺🇦 Slava 🔱 Ukraine 🇺🇦💙

Agreed. More frustrating than Russian barbarism, their shameless lies, and the undermining of international order (or semblance thereof), is the realisation that so many people are so easily manipulated, that propaganda travels with lightning speed, and that vile opportunists walk among us. War was always eternal, and we saw this invasion coming from a decade away. But when the Germans said "wir haben das nicht gewusst," we always were inclined to disregard that as a sad excuse. Surely people could not be that ignorant, or cynical ? Now we know better, people are sheep, they fall for the simplest lies, and are easy to scaremonger, or enrage and bring to hatred. I've been following Starsky since the beginning of this war. And I have tried to spread the message in Brazil as much as I can. Both conservative right and most of the left are pro Russia/China. When you challenge that world view, you readily notice it has a lot to do with sentiment rather than logic, with ignorance and with propaganda. Lula and his followers seem to be worse. Many are just uneducated and some are aligned with an ideology that no longer exists. I would like to again praise you both for the fantastic job you do. And I wish I could help in some way.

"War Fatigue": In 2024, that's the expression here in PL I cannot stand when I read Western media in French or English. "War Fatigue"-what??? And especially "How Come"?? "War Fatigue" is, Ladies and Gentlemen, an expression when reffering to the boys and girls AT THE FRONT! Not for people tired of the "same old news" on TV. Especially for when it come to a war which is (for most people) more than 6,000km away. Here? We should refer to the term "Empathy". Which relates to the ability to understand what other people feel. In PL? Ohhh trust me Bro most of us do share! And ain't no "war fatigue".

When da russians are bombing left and right? Empathy. Nothing else is needed. Not even a 2-h lecture at West Point or some International Strategic Institute. Then again, I live in PL so what do I know about "choosing the winner"? And that's the deal the Ukrainians and the Poles and the Lithuanians and the Lettonians, and the Finns and the Swedes have: No way we will get "war fatigue". And hopefully the rest of the West will stop that excuse. I got your point btw...

So I'm going to try to redo mine and leave out that same expression used by Starsky, referring to a kind of mental health treatment via aiming a foot at a certain chakra spot. Here goes, same as previous, just that one thing swapped: Lots of work ahead, and lots of much needed treatment. I trust the baby will grow bigger and stronger each day. Just a little remark on the method - while facts are a must, those who do their homework don't need to be convinced.
