Some good advice at the end there. I moved to the city recently, started walking the kids to/from school, spending time at the 'community backyard' with them, generally just meeting people on the street. 8 months later, I've lost 31kg (68lb), and my outlook on things is so much better. Games, videos, etc, are awesome, but taking the time to just enjoy life for the sake of it is important, too.

I subbed to this channel when it only had 700k+ subscribers. It was around the time my father had died. I remember just how much he loved anything milsim, and that drew me into this channel. I didn't really understand this milsim stuff, and my father didn't really have a chance to introduce me to it, since he and I didn't always see eye-to-eye. I regret that he died before we had a chance to have a better relationship, so I think that's why I watched your videos. This channel sparked my addiction in anything milsim: I've gotten into arma, squad, battlebits, and the metro and stalker franchise. I have over 300 hours in stalker gamma alone, and you were the one that started it for me. I think it was because of how positive you were about the games you were playing, of how much fun you made it all seem. So, seeing you finally reach 2 million subs feels very monumental to me. I don't know about others, but if it weren't for you, I don't think I would have discovered how fun milsim can be. If my father was still alive, I think we would have bonded over your videos. I'm sorry if I don't make sense, since english is my second language. But I want you to know that you weren't just a small part of my day, this channel became a big part of my life during a time when I was hurting, and is still a source of joy for me. @OperatorDrewski I can't agree with you more. Having lost my little brother earlier this year to that action which is irreversable, and having been close myself in the past, taking time to step back and ground and center yourself is one of the most important things we can do. Not enough of us take time to step back, slow down, and unwind. Life doesn't really let us, and a lot of us don't take care of ourselves because we're too focused on everyone else and the rest of our community in our lives. A serious congrats on 2M subs, and keep having fun. Perhaps someday I'll get my ideas off the ground, but until then I'll enjoy watching your shenanigans.

I didn't realise it was sudoku prevention month. I recently called a service that does similar work because I was in a really bad spot. Just talking to a stranger on the phone and telling them what is bothering you even if you don't know what it is, like you feel off. Most of those strangers know the same feelings and are there to listen. It's not worth it cutting your life short. I tell myself every time I'm in that place that tomorrow could be the best day of my life or the start of an amazing future. Holding onto that slim possibility is hard, but you have to.

This was over ten years ago but I had decided that my life was meaningless and I had nothing to live for, I just couldn't cope anymore. I told myself that if something didn't change in one year that it was my time, I set an alarm in my phone. About 3 months in I met my wife and things slowly got better for me, and when my alarm went off months later I cried like a baby. Even at that early stage in our relationship, I knew that she was the person I wanted to spend my life with, looking back now it feels alien to me that at one point I wanted to end it all, I would have missed out on the best years of my life. I still have my own struggles that I deal with, and frankly, life still sucks sometimes, but I wouldn't trade what I have now for anything. For OP and anyone reading, your life at any moment can change dramatically for the better, but you have to give yourself a chance to make it to the good times. Please be kind to yourself.

@@Dcaveman-lu6ru Thank you for sharing that bro. That's a really nice thing to hear. I've only recently considered talking about it and it's a small release of the stress, but it helps. I've always been the listener for others (when I used to be around people) and never cared about myself. I'm hopeful that I'm on the way out of that pit. The more people that talk about their pain (past or present), the more people that can be encouraged to take that step and finally feel relief.

I can't thank you enough for these right words at the right time. Really, congratulations on your 2 mln subscribers, you've certainly earned it. And believe me, as a person that struggles a lot with imposter's syndrome type of thoughts, there will be always be a part of luck that we cannot deprive ourselves of. It's like a game mechanic that happens sometimes while we are doing something. That's right. If you're not doing anything, you won't ever have luck. In any case even when it happens that you get lucky and get that little strange mechanic that you don't really understnd, you shouldn't blame the game for being unfair or question your achievements too much. If the developers left it there, then it's a mechanic that's supposed to be used, even though we don't really decide when or whether we want to use it. So it's life and luck, I think.

The best part is when someone that's never seen a DLG before, comes up to me to ask how it's even possible for the DLG to do what it does, and fly like it does, and I absolutely live for that moment when someone cool comes along and gets their mind blown by just me, out doing what I always do.

Congratulations on your 2 million! As for how to be successful (I'm nobody to be telling anyone this, just my opinion so take it for what you will) when you said you aren't really sure what you do that works and that some of the videos you think are boring turn out to be some of the more successful ones, I think the real lesson is to do what you are passionate about and be genuine. When I watch your videos I always enjoy listening to you just laughing and having a good time, seemingly not really worrying about what we will think about what you say or do and being what seems like your genuine self. You make it interesting by being relatable and through your amazing editing and the story that you always manage to work into each video. It feels like there is a purpose. I really appreciate the effort and time you take to make these videos, and I hope that you never feel like you have to but rather that you get to.

My GPU is dying so I haven't been able to play any ARMA, but it's still fun living vicariously through your videos. Laughed a bunch with this one, thanks drewski

Thank you for ya videos dude. Recently I've been having it real rough, and I would watch some of your vids here and there. The ending of this video hit me hard and probably some others too. I almost nearly ended it all, but thanks to many people I'm still here and plan to be. Now I don't want to be too much of a drag since a lot of people probably came out like I did, so I hope to see you one day in Texas, probably riding or something. Have fun, catch you on the flip side!
