I could listen to Mikael read a dictionary. Never boring, he would still be smart, funny and insightful. With every different interview, every different band shirt he's always teaching us something. :)

One of my desires is to meet this man within my lifetime. This man's music has changed my perspective of music. Just music, in general. Beatiful songwriter, genuine man, one of the greatest guitarists. There will be an unfufillable hole once this man passes away. To forever with Mikael.

He looks so relaxed. Like he is, to his core, at ease with how he stands in the world. His words and his music stand for themselves and have expressed exactly what he wanted. this is a man who can look anybody in the eyes.

It's funny that you say that because that was immediately what I was thinking too watching this video. He's just got a very laid back, chill and every man personality just like Grohl, I think.

I think what Mikael's trying to say is how much he is a fan of Alice and other 70's albums, not the directly/conscious influence some might expect. It's also obvious that he feels the need to change and evolve as an artist. I like Heritage and expect a great live show to follow.I will be seeing them live this week and look forward to both the new and old songs!

Opeth wanted Heritage to be different. If you've watched his interviews and listened to most of their records you'd probably know. They make each album unique and different to what they previously released. Mikael says they never want to go mainstream and this is how they do it.

Orchid and Morningrise are a little bit black metal. Nothing after that is in any significant way. Mikael said once that the lyrics of Under the Weeping Moon are "black metal nonsense".

Haha sometimes when i'm just walking around at like Best buy or something and just looking at cd's I do the same thing. I look at the artwork and the titles and if theyre good I remember a song title and look it up when I get home. haha thats how I got into In Flames and Soulfly and a bunch of other bands.
