I am a sinner and I worship evil Blood is thinner but you will never know Can you confess that you thrive in chaos? You're a sorceress and your eye is on the lost But you're dying It's in your eyes You're a charlatan You get everything you wish You're a harlot Carry poison in your kiss Beg forgiveness With a dagger in your hand Sow your death seed And reap the dying lands But you're crying It's only vice Empty vessel Drained of hope And none the lesser at the end of A rope Have you ever hated like I? Know I still awaited the absence of lies Watch your eager tongue Attack me from behind Riddle whispers Bleak futile control Like a twin sister Adapting to a role You're a murderer Bloodlust increase You're a harvester Come close to spread disease And you're hiding I hear you cry

Does anyone else think: "this is my favorite Opeth song" every time they listen to another Opeth song? 😂😂😂😂😂

Completely deranged to write this concept and story and represent it in the music. What a psycho genius Mikael. Eclectic wizard

More than any other Opeth album so far, "The Last Will And Testament" has convinced me through its composition. The playfulness, the heavyness resulting not from inhuman noises and incredibly deep tuned guitars (which both have their place somewhere, don't get me wrong) but from the choice of notes and chord progressions! This album is really refreshing in contrast to a lot of newer metal music.

Musically great; they know how to play and play really well... but pretty stereotypical stuff. :P

Any reason you guys dont use a seven string for the "Apostasy" part at @2:10? Instead of tuning down the 6th string to a B; Just curious.

The drum performance on this album is out of this world. A great hommage to Martin Lopez on Ghost Reveries, but even more playful and frantic.

My absolute favorite is §6. The whole artistic structure - exciting, scratchy and eerie melodic chorus. The mood of the song was somehow reminiscent of David Bowie's Lazarus angst. Unbelievable technical perfection and efficiency in changing tempos.
