So after I filmed the last bit of the video, I mentioned it to one of my Moderator/Testers and I have sent the blanket and all the yarn to Chris in the US. She is going to finish the blanket for me as and when. It was such a relief to me, I felt so much lighter having found a solution for it! Whenever Chris finishes the blanket she will post it in the Facebook group. Or even some progress! Enjoy crocheting the Pandora Blanket, Chris!! Thanks for watching! Anja xxx

What a great idea. This will be beautiful! I know what you feel like, I just had to repurpose a quilt project that I completely lost interest in💚

I like making blankets that start from center. That way you don't really have to worry about the size. You just go as far as you want.

I enjoy making from the center out too

It’s so awful when you lose interest. Every project is started with great enthusiasm, but if boredom sets in for whatever reason it’s very difficult to continue. I’ve been there many times. Thanks for your honesty Anja.

TWO DAYS ANJA!!!!!!! I can't wait 😁😁😁 I lose interest on things often. I try to make myself finish things because if not I'd have a house full of WIPS 😂🤣 But sometimes I get to a point where I really dislike a project so I put it to the side. It is quite normal. It's good to see I'm not the only one. Take care Anja ❤️

Yes, it does happen to all of us … and that is so good to know, and to understand how normal it is to simply lose interest in a project.. \I sometimes eventually pick the forgotten project up again, but sometimes I just frog the thing, and start something else. Thankfully, your project will actually have a new home… with hands waiting to embrace it… Yay!

Anja: I was very relieved to hear you 'confess' to losing interest in a project!! During this pandemic/past 18 months, I've started various blankets, either different patterns or different colorways. Nearly all are baby blankets to be given to a local hospital this coming Christmas. I found that the various WIPs actually helps me keep moving forward. I also have a thanks you for a tip within this Pandora blanket. The two chains, followed by one double crochet at a corner...which is then connected at the end of the round by a slip stitch in the double--- laying the slip stich on the top of the two chains looks soooo clean-n-neat. I've never really liked how my row-ending played out in granny square patterns because I used 3 chains in place of that first double. The two chains with a slip stitch on top is perfect.

Lovely yarn. But for 36.99 per cake, I would have had to frog the project and started another. I'm glad you found a solution that worked for you.

This is a -wonderful- pattern! I crochet a lot of items for charity, from donated or thrifted yarns. I often don't know how far the yarn will go, but with this pattern, that's just fine. The Stylecraft batik you used is so pretty.

What a lovely yet simple pattern. Great for mindless crochet time. Thank you for being real! I think we all have had the experience of excitement to begin a project and then lost the motivation to keep on with it. What an important part of our hobby, actually. We learn from all our projects... finished or not. XXX

Another winner pattern. I love your colors as purples and greens are my favorites. However I have trouble with the color changing cakes. I ended up cutting up 6 cakes as they’re all wound different so the project looked wonky with the way the colors rolled off the cake. My OCD couldn’t deal with that lol. I do have 2 more cake sets with wonderful colors so I’ll use this quick and easy pattern and the blankets will be whatever we end up with. Here goes … Love your videos and get mesmerized watching your crochet technique. I look like I’m hacking through the jungle but somehow get ‘er done.

I'm in agreement with you there Anja..I can be working on a project, get so far with it and then I'm over it and want to look/start another project..if I'm making for someone specific then I'll push myself to finish it, but if it's just a project I'm doing to keep myself busy then it turns into a WIP..

Anja. The crochet pattern you have selected works out very well indeed. I would think it's the yarn that has you at a standstill with the project. I would stick with stylecraft special dk for this blanket. That way you can control the colors to your liking. Nice execution in the pattern. A lovely attempt. 🐻

I stopped doing granny square crochet because I got tired of doing the same stitches…I’m not as accomplished as you but despite the fact double crochets are my favorite stitch, any pattern that is too repetitive, I rarely finish without interrupting.
