I live in the Netherlands And I was there. Got my lovely Pikachu promo. But man It was crazy. All these adults running around, I heard some adults got like 8 tickets so they went 8 times to get 8 promos. It was not child friendly at all. When we left the museum some 20 adults were trying to buy the card for 50-150 euros. Insanity. It wasn't enjoyable really.

These were not Pokémon fans. They were feral animals. There is no way the museum could prepare for this. A museum is for civil people with even basic manners to learn. This should have been shut down asap to plan a better strategy. Rattle had some good ideas. I feel bad for the staff. I would love a card and a plushie for my daughter who loves art. nah, they could've implemented the 1 per person per day rule, and they could've separated the questionnaire line from the promo line. gift shop should've had a limit of how many people could be in the store at one time, and with the 1 item rule, no risk of running out of stock for a promotion that is supposed to last 3 more months. i've seen many smaller cons that implemented rules similar to this, and have they all had stellar drop days.

i was there yesterday to get the card with a friend of mine. Right when i entered the museum to wait for my friend who had a ticket 15 minutes later than me i got asked multiple times if i want the card or if i can give it to the people asking which bought multiple tickets for the 28 so they could get multiple copys of the card, which fortunately didnt work since they got recognised by the staff members. Also when i left with my copy there was a dude standing outside offering 50 Euros to everyone who left the store to buy multiple cards. Wtf is this

The sad part is I love Van Gogh and I waited on the Pokemon site and waited for it to drop, I don't know how people had things in their carts before hand, but when I hit refresh to see if it came up, everything was sold out on the site. When I hit refresh again, the site was temparary down. There is no way, I am going to pay scalper prices for this card that I love. It's a beautiful card. I had thought that they were going to limit the amount you could buy and have enough for atleast a day. I have no confidence... In the pokemon center.

I too have missed out on tons of Pokemon TCG product due to lack of product in brick/mortar stores as well as just not having the money to pay online prices and I too am okay with not having everything the company has to offer. I'm thankful for what I do get my hands on and they are cherished additions to my personal collection. Scalpers just get into a blood frenzy when it comes to shiny pieces of cardboard. I was able to get the Eevee and Sunflora (My wife loves Sunflowers) canvas prints today from Pokemon Center. Honestly if there wasent a promo I still would have bought the prints. Pretty dumb the way pokemon does these releases. I mean I understand it is nice to launch the promos at a physical location before dropping it online, makes people more likely to go to the museum but it also means this kind of thing happens. Then to top it all off, the Pokemon Center only dropped 3 of the products the entire day today and held off on everything else which further pushed fear/demand.
