This is why these companies hire Private Investigators to get these sorted out because there is a fine, there is termination time and possible jail time if they find out. There needs to be a big discussion differentiating “haters” from “constructive criticizers”. I’ve seen a lopsided amount of constructive criticism be brushed off as “hate”. Then the Pokémon company comes out and validates all the constructive feedback and suddenly it’s worth considering… but no acknowledgement that those “haters” were simply on the money. Owning mistakes is a good look. Seismic owning this would make more people who are agnostic about his content respect him. Will say I can’t stand the comment, “people are jealous they didn’t do it.” I don’t know many people that would and all my friends are collectors or players.

Speaking as a fan of SeismicShock, I think what he did was ethically inconsistent. If someone buys stolen packs and opens them on video to grow their channel, I can respect the hustle, but don't rat out the seller afterwards or pretend you're doing anything other than taking advantage of a situation to go viral. Another way to go about it would be to buy the packs to confirm they're legit, then make a video shedding light on the issue while giving the seller's info and the sealed packs back to Pokemon.

Do I think he should go to prison for it. No. But like your video suggests, they’re just gaslighting and basically making fools of people that believe the BS. Just come out and be honest. I play Yugioh, and not Pokémon...but if I saw someone posting a set early, and bought it (and they actually sent it). My immediate action would either be to contact authorities...or wait to open the set, until it's actual release. The second option is definitely not the most morally sound...but it's better than what Discount PokéRev did.
