I was married 10 years ago. I learn my lesson from it. My ex fiance was jealous of my girl bestfriend. She tried to boundaries on her. As time went on. I said no boundaries because she will not set boundaries on her friends & family. She complained about my girl bestfriend, my friends & family. I told her that i was jealous of my ex wife family & push her away by being jealous. She not listen to me. She keep complaining. Now we are not together.

The friendship and marriage go hand and hand, if you ruin the marriage you also ruin the friendship. And I dont talk to people Im generally not friends with. When a spouse chooses their friends over their marriage the message is clear, time to end it.

My boyfriend has a friend he knew from childhood. They recently recontected acouple of years ago, when she went through a divorce and so did he. They never got together then. He says he is not attracted to her, but she is attractive. He talks to her once a week. He says it neutral conversation, but she talks to him about her boyfriends not treating her right. He says he knows her past and would never think of dating her, but i don't like it.

What do you do when your wife’s best friend is her boss, and it’s not income that we cant lose. But there have been plenty of instances where they have crossed the line. Holding hands to congratulate big deal, dosnt make sense, telling each other I love you, deleting txt messages. She admits it was wrong but swears it’s nothing more. I don’t know what to do anymore.

What is being described is cheating. This is micro-cheating behavior and is a direct threat to the primary pair bond (in this case, marriage). Honorable wives will not engage in this behavior. Perhaps, she needs to be informed by an honorable wife on how to conduct herself as a wife. Aside from this, opposite sex friends are a reserve list. Why is she keeping a reserve list? There seems to be a need for guided therapy, both individually and as a couple.

I have friends of both sexes and I wouldn't be in a relationship with anyone that didnt trust me to have those friends. And yes I would encourage my partner to gave friends of both sexes because I'm self confident and dont feel threatened and relly on the way I respect and treat her for her to be able to talk to me about anything in our relationship. Jealousy is an emotion that can do more harm than good.

That's totally OK, but the day your wife withholds from you: sex, intimacy, comfort, conversation ... would your opinion change? Could the friendship she has with other men be validating her withdrawal, or offering her a backup relationship? Would you approve of it then?

@@jinnantonix4570 I welcome my partners to have friends of any sex and if you have a loving carring honest relationship why would they withhold or blackmail you if they care about you and if they dont dont stay with them life is far to short to not have a fully rewarding relationship in every aspect and that means friends for both of you

@@steventostevin3085 I think you have an idealised view of platonic relationships. They can work, but they can often be very unstable due to the difference between male and female viewpoint. If you trust your wife, that's great, but all relationships have ups and downs. My own 30 year marriage has been renegotiated several times. Beware.
