I've been on combipatch (estradiol/norethindrone) for about 3 years. It's helped restore some bone density. I need to start lifting to improve more, I just walk 3.5 miles a day. It seems like micronized progesterone is often the preferred progesterone, though I've read that norethindrone can be good for bone. I actually switched to micronized progesterone caps and a estradiol patch for a year and bone barely held steady, no improvement, so I switched back to Combipatch. I didn't realize the link between synthetic progestins and breast cancer risk vs. natural progesterone. Interesting discussion, thank you!

Thank you for sharing your experience! It's fantastic that you're walking regularly, and adding weight-bearing exercise like lifting can definitely help with further bone strength. Keep up the great work, and I'm glad this discussion has been insightful! 😊

The quickest way to find a doctor for Bioidentical HRT is to ask your local compounding pharmacy for a referral. Two telemedicine providers are Elevate M.D. and Defy Medical, and of course Dr Doug’s new company PEMA Bioidentical.

This cyclic dosing of progesterone keeps coming up in forums, and I would be very interested in learning more about it. If it is true that the number of cycles a woman undergoes in her lifetime is related to increased risk of breast cancer, is this post-menopausal cycling safe? Or, is the effect on the breast different in this cycling? Does it not effect the breast tissue in the same way as cycles do in a young woman?

Which of your videos would you recommend for osteoporosis doctor who doesn't recommend estradiol to convince them otherwise?

Do you cover equal weighted (not just females) podcasts on hormones for males when they have prostate cancer or family hx of prostate cancer❓🤔

I constantly hear about breast cancer & estrogen, yes & no. But I had vaginal bleeding long after menopause & a thickened vaginal wall soon after I restarted estrogen and Drs were sure I had endometrial cancer. Biopsy proved I didn’t (still being monitored) but my Dr took me off estrogen. Is there a proven connection?
